The New Year has begun. This period of the seasons is a time where people everywhere celebrate the dying of the old and the rebirth of the new.

It seems that many of us have been - and still are - going through some difficulties right now; emotional, mental, physical; feelings of powerlessness, loneliness, futility, despair; suffering the symptoms and effects of viruses, detoxification, fatigue.

As we edge ever closer to the precipice that is the end of 'civilisation', the realisation of our position in the face of it all is enough to drive anybody to madness. But realising our position is the choice that we have made.

As Gurdjieff and Laura have pointed out, the intensification of misery and destruction happening all around us right now is releasing a hell of a lot of information and we have made the decision to acquire as much of it as possible, because as we have learned, knowledge protects. Everything we do, we're adding information to our being; be it a drop of iodine or a sott article.

But the PTB have got us subjugated and segregated and every day, they tighten the screws a little bit more to grind us down and lie to us and oppress us and bleed us and bomb and kill us. But we can't give up hope; we have each other. G. said that one man alone can do nothing, but a group can achieve things. I think those of us who are feeling powerless should try to remember this.

The more we work towards common goals and aims, the more we all head in the same direction, the more we - in one way or another - become as one being. We can 'create new universes to dwell within'. We can see things more as they are and so act in ways that are beneficial to ourselves, each other, and others, too. We can share our thoughts and feelings and realise that others here are thinking and feeling the same way and that we are not alone.

To be in the world, but not of it; now, THAT would be an achievement - the first step towards making the decision to leave this Godforsaken place behind - to detach ourselves from it and become invested with all of our being in a new place. That's what happens with every decision that goes against the 'norm'. We're telling the Universe, "Hey, I see what's happening here, but as you can see from my actions, I don't really fit here - you know?" It doesn't even matter what comes from that, does it? If we're all disintegrated by a shower of comets and disappear into oblivion, guess what, we made our declaration anyway.

We have to keep on keeping on. We have to keep finding new alarm clocks that help us fight against our programs. We have to keep networking and sharing. We have to keep learning. Towards the end of last year, the C's said:
For all forum members: Do not lose heart. Just remember that if you do all you can, yourselves in the future will bridge the gap. You are all potential transducers of information into chaos. Let that information be love/truth.

Like the New Year, all we do to head in the same direction leads to a dying of the old us, our old bodies, old habits, old problems, old fears, and we're constantly being born anew - getting healthier, wiser, everything we battle through making us stronger, better. And our reality must do the same - the old world is sick and dying and is soon to be cremated - but together, we can give birth to a new, different, healthy, rejuvenated one.

I've been reading a book by a concentration camp survivor. One of the things he noted was that those living in the camp conditions experienced a changing of their perception of time. A day could feel like it lasted forever, but weeks just flew by. I don't know about anyone else, but that rings true with me with this planet right now. So when we're feeling low or depressed, or if we're physically ill, know that it is bad today, and today may feel so long, but it won't last forever - it'll soon be tomorrow, and the day after.

I went to bed at 7pm last night because by that time, I actually couldn't handle being awake in this reality any more. I'd planned my evening out to get some other things done, but I was totally emotionally beat. I don't think there's any shame in that. I slept until 9am today, waking up a couple of times and going back to sleep again. And I got a lot done today.

Sometimes facing reality day after day, trying to applying the principles and discipline we all strive for, we can put a huge amount of pressure on ourselves to be perfect super-beings. Okay, that might be what we're all aiming for - it'd be nice! But we're not. What we have to do is to do all we CAN - not do all we CAN'T; there's a difference.

Focus on what you can do, and do that. Do it over and over, every day. Make lists if you have to - realistic ones - and stick to them. You're learning, and building, and practising, and working. The phrase, "The Universe doesn't give us anything we can't handle" works two ways: when we're struggling with a difficulty, the phrase can help give us strength, but it also implies that the Universe won't give us anything we aren't ready to take care of. And that means that what you have control over and what you're responsible for each day, that is your job and your duty at this moment in time and it's a simple as that. And okay, if you're wanting some more responsibility and want to be able to do more, then just show the Universe that you can do what is in your domain now first, and it'll come.

And that's different for all of us. If we're depressed, we have to do what we can to find out why and do what we can to push through it or to change our view of it or our beliefs, etc. The same applies to illness, or a family problem or a financial problem, etc., etc.. But it's all a part of creating a new reality - creating a tomorrow where these thing might be a little bit better. Sometimes, that means writing off today as a bad one. Without bad days, we couldn't appreciate good ones.

Think of it this way, even as the world gets worse and worse, the fact that we have each other here means that we can get better and better. That's the point of all this. I'm sure you can all see there are no impossibilities within this network. That with each other, there's no problem we can't find a solution for. The collective knowledge we all hold can and does and will change our collective reality for the better, if we remember to make use of it and have faith in it.

Again, your charge is to do all you can; the things that are in front of you. It could be the easiest thing in the world it if wasn't for our damned programs. But together, with this network, we can fix ourselves, part by part. I'm so grateful for that.

Thank you to every single one of you here, doing all you can. Keep it up!

Thanks for that T.C. Very well articulated and obviously heart-felt. I would only add that we should also find time for, and if necessary actively engage in, a little fun from time to time. As V said, a revolution (of the soul) without dancing (or laughing) isn't worth having! :D

T.C. I find your words very encouraging, and indeed worthy of transcription into SOTT.
If the mods could arrange for your piece to be published there, we could link to it and get your message out to the world via Facebook etc.
As Joe said, it was very articulate.

T.C! That was a very nice post, thank you very much for writing this to us. I was feeling a bit down and stressed this past week, but as u've said we have to focus on what we can do, over and over, everyday :D I'll keep this quote in my mind whenever im feeling down again. "The Universe doesn't give us anything we can't handle"

A  for you, and onwards and upwards!!

Yeah many thanks for sharing, T.C. I guess you provided a light at the end of a tunnel for me right now! onwards and upwards :D

Thank you T.C. for expressing it so nicely ... I can totally relate to that, and thank you all for sharing your related thoughts ... and yes I do think that in this life we also have to keep joy of life burning bright, as that is what life if for, at the end off all this ... kind of a joyful suffering, if I can say it that way ... what I found rewarding actually, is ability that all of you gave me, to be able to see it, to understand it, to live it through, to learn more in a year about reality around me, than I did in whole my life, to feel the pain and suffering on a different level, not loosing the fiat in meaning of life as a part of a bigger cosmic understanding ...

Thank you T.C. for your thoughtful words of encouragement  , and to give us a little bit of hope to deal with these hard times..

Thanks for your well thought post T.C. Very inspiring and makes it all worth it once again. At least for me. You got me to once again realize the perspective i seem to be losing.

Thank you very much, T.C., for your words of encouragement. I've been having a very stressful week at college (with food poisoning on top of that), and it's going to get worse if I can't promptly do what I'm responsible for. But, as you said, the Universe doesn't give us anything we can't handle, which motivates me to continue. I hope many more people will feel inspired by your post.

Thank you for your post T.C. You've come through a long difficult road, so it's for sure what you've written is born of your own experience. Congratulations on coming to a place of cheerful, practical hope. Many of us here need to hear that now and again. A great way to get the New Year going! :hug2:

Very well said TC. Even as we gain knowledge and being, we still need to chop wood and carry water.

Thank you for this post,it's good to know that there are people in this world (primarily on this forum) that understand the pain of being able to see in the world of the blind. :)
