Drawings - JFK, Gurdjieff, Lennon...

Azur, I have just finished Cochise. This was my second attempt. The first one was in charcoal on a bigger paper, but I didn't like it in the end. This one is in pencils, size is A4. Please let me know if you like it. I cropped his head so when you will zoom in you will see more details.
Sorry for taking so long.

Very powerful drawing grini. Thanks again for sharing your work. :)

Hi, Grini:
The successful arrangement of the various elements in your drawnings and painting makes these appear to be moving, very few painters achieve this. Everyone seems to have life but not the Kennedy. Gurdjieff's drawing looks like a fashion model, he would have liked to see your picture. Congratulations, you have a great talent.

Thank you  I still need to practice a lot.
At the moment I'm experimenting with watercolors. Watercolors and brushes were not my friends, but last few days we are getting to know each other and I must say that I started to enjoy in them. The only bad thing is that good quality paper, watercolors and brushes are very expensive :( So I'm working on thin paper (180g/85lbs) with watercolors and brushes for kids, the cheapest. I think it is good enough for practice.
Here are my last two paintings, sizes are A5.

As I wrote before, if you want I can send it to you and all you need is to cover the cost of shipping.

I would be honoured if you would do so. Not sure how to make the arrangements, however.

I can PM you an address, and you can find out the shipping cost. From there, we'd have to figure out a method of exchange to cover costs.

Do you have PayPal? I'm registered there but didn't buy or sell anything yet. But as I can see all you need is my e-mail address and you type in amount of money you want to send me.
PM me your address I will then send it to you and let you know how much did it cost me.

Thanks Grini.

Send me your paypal address in PM. I'd rather you not be out of pocket awaiting shipment, so I will send you money beforehand to cover.

I will send it to you, but first I would like you to think about Alexander Davidis thread and question that is waiting for you there. That really bothers me and I don't know should we make any moves here until you make yourself clear there. If members of this network don't support you, your behavior, I also don't want to do anything with you. I made a promise and I kept it and this drawing will not go anywhere. But please be honest with yourself and others first. If there is any problem or doubt, share. Of course, these are only suggestions.

Judging from your last painting I saw on FB it looks like you and water colors made friends pretty quick.
You have an amazing talent and maybe it is time to start thinking how to make a living from it. Perhaps creating a website and selling your drawings online might be a good start.

Thank you H.E. and thank you for the suggestion. I will start creating website and will put everything there. But I have a problem with prices, I don't know how much are they worth. Maybe I should start with 50 - 100 kunas (7 - 14 euros) and see how it will go.

I think that is too little - similar art is sold on the street of Florence for not less then 35€ (for small formats). Perhaps 20€ would be better. But I am not an expert in these things.

Hi Grini,

Maybe you can use Etsy if you have a paypal account ? Easy to use and very cheap to put your works up for sale.

As for the price I agree with H.E. as you have to factor the time you took doing them, materials used and don't forget the post and package costs as well.

I'm not an expert either :) Thanks for the info about prices. I never went to art school, or took a drawing/painting course, so my background about art and techniques are pretty poor and that is why I don't know what price to put. For me it is better to ask someone how much he/she would like to give, but I think I should think more about what Tigersoap wrote.

Hi Tigersoap,
yes, I have paypal account, but the problem is that I have 27 kunas (around 4 euros) on my bank account that is connected with paypal, enough to keep that account alive. I checked Etsy, I like it, but I think it will wait until I get some money or until I find a job so I can put some money on account and then sell my works on Etsy.
Yesterday I started creating my website. It will be in Croatian and English and I'm using Wordpress. There are some good e-commerce plugins that I'm going to try out so I could sell everything on my website, for a start.
Thanks for advices.

I think it's better to put definite price because you never know how much money person has. Maybe it says it does not have much money and gives you a little when that person could afford to give much more. In the end you are used and the energy between you two is unbalanced. Just a suggestion. Nice paintings and drawings by the way.

I think that you get the first 16 (?) listings for free but it might be because I was already registered and as they changed a bit their renewal policies that was maybe a promotional thing.
It's only 0,20$ cent per item anyway (but you have to renew them after a while now).FYI.
