There was no earthquake of magnitude 8 or greater, however during the past 7 days, there were 1 quake of magnitude 7.3, and 3 quakes 6+

So far there has not been a magnitude 7 earthquake, however, a series of earthquakes has been recorded in Alaska this day between 5.4 and 6.8

At least four powerful earthquakes of magnitude 6.8, 5.4, 6.6 and 5.8 hit the Fox Islands of Alaska in a span of two hours

The United States Geological Survey announced that a magnitude 6.8 (initially 6.6) earthquake was recorded in the state of Alaska.

The center indicated that the epicenter of the earthquake was located approximately 71 kilometers southeast of the Nikolski region in Alaska, and announced that the depth of the earthquake was 22.3 kilometers.

Minutes later, three strong earthquakes were recorded in the same area: a second earthquake occurred 10 minutes after magnitude 5.4 at a depth of 32.2 km: less than an hour two earthquakes of magnitude 6.6 and 5.8 were recorded with an epicenter 60 km from Nikolski. None activated the tsunami warning.
