Minor earthquake rumbles SE Wis
KENOSHA, Wis.—
A minor earthquake rumbled through southeastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.

Seismologists with the U.S. Geological Survey say the 2.4 magnitude quake happened just before 10 p.m. Monday and was centered about 30 miles from Kenosha, just east of McHenry, Ill.

Not a major quake by far, but unusual for this area; the unusual seems to be increasing though.

6.8 quake kills 43 in Philippines: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/philippines/9063413/Magnitude-6.8-earthquake-kills-43-in-Philippines.html . They have a local tsunami warning going on as well; and there seems to have been several aftershocks (obviously) ranging from 4.8 to 6.0

Hope everyone stays safe over there :(

I saw this earlier on SOTT - pretty crazy - especially (of course) on March 11: https://www.sott.net/articles/show/241190-Stunning-Representation-Of-Data-Japan-Earthquakes-2011-Visualization-Map

I saw it too, incredible isnt it? it was overwhelming when march 11 happened . There's also another video of worldwide quakes in 2011 from the same individual, worth checking out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cwWn_W6ZbT4&feature=related

Just to comment that there was another earthquake that was felt in Mexico City, enough to get us out of the building. Had not seen the report on USGS website. 12:41 pm 6 grades report from the radio.

Hope everyone around is OK
