Minor earthquake rumbles SE Wis
KENOSHA, Wis.—
A minor earthquake rumbled through southeastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.

Seismologists with the U.S. Geological Survey say the 2.4 magnitude quake happened just before 10 p.m. Monday and was centered about 30 miles from Kenosha, just east of McHenry, Ill.

Not a major quake by far, but unusual for this area; the unusual seems to be increasing though.

6.8 quake kills 43 in Philippines: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/philippines/9063413/Magnitude-6.8-earthquake-kills-43-in-Philippines.html . They have a local tsunami warning going on as well; and there seems to have been several aftershocks (obviously) ranging from 4.8 to 6.0

Hope everyone stays safe over there :(

I know, is just that sometimes as those I had not that "much"-"some" time to wait and want to report it right away.

From USGS website it measure now of 6.5 and there has been a series of earthquakes on this day at Baja California, Mex., one of 6.9 and the other of 6.2.

MAP 6.2 2012/04/12 07:06:01 28.841 -113.072 10.1 GULF OF CALIFORNIA

And yesterday the one from Oregon was one of consideration too.
