● M6.0 earthquake in Ethiopia, strongest since the recent earthquake swarm began

Planetary geometries involving Mercury, Venus and outer planets Neptune and Uranus have so far generated two strong earthquakes, M6.0 in Ethiopia and M5.7 in Russia.
2025-02-05-overview.png
SSGEOS forecast updated February 12, 2025, 07:11 UTC
Due to a convergence of critical planetary geometry there is the potential of stronger seismic activity, possibly some temporal clustering in the higher 5 magnitude range in the next few days.
Convergence of critical planetary geometry involving Mercury and Venus on 12 and around 18 February can result in very strong to major seismic activity.

Multiple earthquakes of note in recent days.

First, on Feb 15th, Islamabad:

A strong earthquake jolts struck the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, sending shockwaves of fear among residents who rushed out of their homes and offices reciting prayers.

According to the Seismological Center, the earthquake measured 4.8 on the Richter scale with a depth of 17 kilometers. The epicenter was located 8 kilometers southwest of Rawalpindi.

The tremors were particularly intense in high-rise buildings, prompting occupants to evacuate in panic. As of now, no casualties or property damage have been reported. However, authorities are closely monitoring the situation and assessing any potential impact.
Separately, today, India's capital city:

A strong earthquake measuring 4.0 on the Richter scale jolted Delhi and its adjoining National Capital Region at around 5.35 am on Monday.[...]

There were also complaints about an "unusual, thunder-like sound" that was heard as the earthquake shook Delhi.

"There was an unusual sound. Many others are reporting it as well. Any idea what the sound was? Have never heard a sound during an earthquake before," one user tweeted.
Yesterday, Sunday 16th, near Naples, Italy:

Italy's National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) reported a magnitude 3.9 quake in Italy near Naples, Campania. The earthquake hit after midnight on Monday, February 17th, 2025, at 12:19 am local time at a very shallow depth of 1.60 km.
And the ongoing swarm of quakes around Santorini in the Aegean Sea has today produced another significant one:

Another earthquake, measuring 5.1, struck the sea area between Amorgos and Santorini on Monday.

According to the Geodynamics Institute of the National Observatory of Athens, the quake occurred shortly before 10 a.m., 21 km southwest of Arkesini, in southern Amorgos, at a depth of 15 km.
The 'Santorini swarm' now numbers "16,900 earthquakes since January 26."

A sizeable magnitude 4.8 earthquake struck at 1.24pm in Lisbon, Portugal today. The quake was measured at an estimated depth of 10km, approximately 3 km south of Charneca de Caparica and was felt across a wide area based on posts to X. Unlike the recent quake in The Cayman Islands, this one was not picked up by the ISNS seismographs (second image).

The southwestern tip of Portugal is located close to a 50-km-long (31 mi) thrust fault
20250217_113140.png

The last big earthquake event to hit Portugal's capital city took place in 1755. A series of major earthquakes caused serious damage to the port city and killed an estimated 60,000 people in Lisbon alone. The earthquake produced a 2-metre tsunami that hit the south and west coasts of Ireland. The Spanish Arch section of the city walls of Galway were damaged. WeathEire via X

This indicates that the energy has not found its way out to the Atlantic as expected, but continues to be trapped in the region of Central America and northern South America. Analyst Jesús Ramos mentions that at least until February 21, the region from Ometepec Guerrero to the Gulf of Panama should be on alert for a possible M6+ earthquake, in the worst case M7.2. While for Colombia, Ecuador and Peru it would be up to M5+ and a worst case scenario of M6+ (this already happened today in Peru with M5.4)

● Earthquake forecast updated 17 February 2025, 22:26 UTC
A major convergence of planetary geometry from 17 to 19 February can result in very strong to major seismic activity, potentially reaching high 7 to 8 magnitude, most likely between 20 and 23 February.
SSGEOS forecasts a probability of 80% for an M5.5 earthquake and in the worst case scenario M6.4 while for earthquakes of magnitude 6.5 or higher and up to magnitude 8.4 the probability is 70%.

With the M5.7 earthquake in Indonesia, the forecast is fulfilled, however, other events may still occur given the seismic cluster that has occurred. To this we must add the upcoming planetary geometry Mercury, Venus, Uranus that will occur in the early hours of February 19.

No aftershocks have been recorded so far. The earthquake was the strongest to hit this part of Spain in over 16 years. The strongest-ever (since 1900) recorded quake in this area measured magnitude 7.8. It had occurred 71 years ago earlier, on Monday, Mar 29, 1954

A 4.1 earthquake in the Sierra de Sevilla is felt early in the morning in Huelva, Western Andalusia and Extremadura.
The National Geographic Institute (IGN) has collected numerous automatic reports and from neighbors, alarmed by the earthquake, which in principle has been catalogued with a maximum intensity of III-IV in different localities of Seville and Cordoba.
The scale of intensity of earthquakes ranges from I to X, according to the way in which the population has felt it and the effects it causes in the environment, such as the fact that the bed, sofa, furniture or ornaments move, objects fall, cracks appear in the walls or that people who are standing have trouble keeping their balance or fall to the ground due to the force of the tremor.

Some reports i have taken from Facebook:
Well I am in Townsville at the moment & what we felt was like a shockwave of an explosion. At first I thought a plane had crashed or the military dropped a bomb. Our whole street in Kalynda Parade, came out wondering what it was, my sister in Blackriver felt two bangs but here’s the weird part myself, my wife & our neighbour whose ex army all heard a helicopter fly over our homes with zero navigation lights on not even a search light on heading towards Kelso area & we live not far from the airport/military base!!!
Sounded like a plane crash or a car crashing into our house.
Here in Heatley, there was a strange roaring sound (which I thought was just a noisy car going up our street) Then the largest bang and the house shook. I thought a car had gone thru our brick fence into our pool. We went out to check and most of the Neighbours were our there too. I have never been in an earthquake before and tell you what I am still shaking. Hope there is no more.
No aftershocks have been recorded so far. Was it the explosion of a comet in the atmosphere?
