The critical planetary alignments Mercury, Mars, Jupiter & Mercury, Sun, Jupiter occurred with the earthquake in Argentina (M5.7) and seismic activity in the Molucca Sea respectively.
No M7+ or higher seismic event has occurred to date as forecast. On October 22 we will have the last planetary geometry predicted for the period October 10 to 22 involving Mercury, Sun and Mars.
Earthquake forecast updated 21 October 2024, 17:37 UTC by SSGEOS
A lunar conjunction with Jupiter on 21 October can result in a strong earthquake on 22-23 October.
According to SSGEOS there is a 60% probability of an earthquake up to M6.4 and a 50% probability for an earthquake greater than M6.5 but less than M7.0.
In the past 24 hours, there were 812 quakes of magnitudes up to 5.7:
- 6 quakes above magnitude 5
- 28 quakes between magnitude 4 and 5
- 83 quakes between magnitude 3 and 4
- 178 quakes between magnitude 2 and 3
- 517 quakes below magnitude 2 that people normally don't feel.
