I felt this one and it was quite strange. I live at the top of Australia and we often get tremors from the earthquakes around Timor and Indonesia.
I woke up prior to the tremor with a rushing sound which I've heard before pre shaking but this time it set off all the frogs. We live in the tropics and around this time of year when its dense with humidity, the frogs start singing to each other just before the rain downpours. There was no rain but it was a similar feeling of heaviness in the air although it didn't look too cloudy but it was around midnight and not much moon so I could be wrong.
Anyways the commotion pre tremor woke me up so I went to the loo and jumped back into bed just as the bed started to shake. The tremor went for what seemed like a solid minute or so which is quite long.
Of course my husband barely stirred but for the next 20 min or so there was a very distinct pressure in the atmosphere and a ringing or humming sound. So much so that I got out of bed 2 more times to see if the sound was coming from an appliance in another room.
After a while I either fell asleep or it stopped I can't remember which happened first but its fascinating how these events often have other sounds and changes in the atmosphere when they occur.

Seismic silences sometimes signal the approach of a significant event. Let's hope not.
