Earthquakes around the world

Five months after the biggest earthquake in two decades, a swarm of smaller quakes rattled a secretive Navy base in the Mojave Desert Thursday afternoon and before dawn on Friday, according to the US Geological Survey.

Five quakes magnitudes over 2.5 struck Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake between 3 p.m. Thursday and 3.30 a.m. Friday in Ridgecrest, CA, according to the Fresno Bee.
The base, deep in the California desert near Death Valley National Park, is where the Navy develops and tests its newest weapons.
A massive 7.1 magnitude earthquake on July 6 was also centered on the base and forced the evacuation of the massive installation, according to KLTA.
That was the biggest earthquake in the area in two decades, according to the USGS. -Fresno Bee
In July, a series of back-to-back earthquakes in the Mojave Desert stoked fears over 'the big one' hitting the area.

Earthquake update 12/21/2019 👍

It looks as if they were foreshocks as shortly afterwards two earthquakes of 6.0 hit in the same area and one of 5.7.

So a little bit of tension is being released. The question is whether these are the main shocks or also foreshocks?

There was also a 6.0 in Argentina yesterday, which means that there has now been 5 earthquakes of 6.0 or greater within less than 24 hours.

Will the partial solar eclipse to be seen in the "Ring of Fire" area on Boxing Day, cause the release of tensions translated into increased activity of earthquakes/volcanoes?

This last week 1 of 117 earthquakes worldwide above or equal to 4.5 fell in the map area and of all earthquakes 1720 out of 2244. This amounts to 76.6%.
8 days have passed as work hindered me from posting yesterday. During the last week, 7 earthquakes equal or greater to 4.5 fell in the map area out of 107 worldwide, all of which were just off Vancouver Island. Of the total number of earthquakes 1461 out of 1898 fell in the usual area, which amounts to 77.0%.

Another week and things has slowed down a bit in the US, perhaps because of the release of tension last week off Vancouver Island. This last week saw 1 earthquake greater than 4.5 out of 83 and 1476 out of 2316 earthquakes worldwide of all sizes. This amounts to 63.7%. It is by far the lowest in the 4 months where I have documented it here in this thread.
