Well me and my wife watched this one last night. And I must say that it is as terrifying as it is true for the reality we are living in right now. A must watch.

It tells the story of Hitler teletransporting to the future just before dying in the bunker and as you can imagine and like watching a rerun of Friends, even when you know what is going to happen, you just can't keep from watching in amazement. But actually is a rather grim, really grim, portrayal of western society. How even after knowing what happened with this guy last time, some people - and the film suggest that some of them were NOT actors - just kept cheering at the guy! No memory whatsover.

It describes and suggests that all it takes to bring together the racist, fascist, and authoritarian followers under the same banner is a charismatic spellbinder (yep, it reminded me of The Donald, a lot), someone that would say all the right things, all those things that ring true, all those black and white, simplistic ideas in a very serious matter-of-factly manner and boom! is 1933 Germany again.

The Hitler actor could actually have been channeling the real deal as I felt the attraction of the psychopath and the reaction of the meek crowds, modern crowds :scared:

It ends really well, and if you read the Holocaust 2.0 series you will know what I mean. It tells me that people are catching up on the smell of fascism looming over Europe and America and elsewhere.

I felt the same attraction (repulsion?) seeing a modern Hitler hitting the scene again, confusing and attracting people with his wishful thinking and charm. The way someone could be driven to madness just by being close to him and seeing him for what he really is, I think it was portrayed with so much objectivity, while those who just saw him 'act' from a distance, laughing and not taking him for the menace he is, were always prone to his charisma and lies.

Thanks for sharing the link to the Holocaust series!

The Donald? He doesn't have the support of the bankers et al as Hitler and his group did. The establishment is just upset that some upstart is trying to take control of their country club...
Spellbinder? That seems to apply to any follower type, which seems hardwired into the DNA and reinforced by the cultural programming, but I don't think this applies to The Donald, rather the opposite at times, as he isn't rehearsed enough to 'work it' well... but he knows the game of PR in our reality tv society and does 'work' that... the rest, like with fans anywhere, is up to the audience... and the mainstream only shoots themselves in their feet with their ignorance of their audience... like the CIA in Cuba... and perhaps they should all hire some marketing groups for focus group discussions to learn from the people, what works best on them, as it seems the ole Bernays routine has been larger forgotten, or rather just not as applicable in a mobile society that only focuses on what it likes.

Hitler was known for his rehearsals before giving his speeches, so yes, he'd probably 'work it' today as well, if he had the 'right' look... which the Donald really doesn't have, does he? All the Donald does is spout off on the usual subjects with much of the usual patter that the two parties have done themselves... like 'the fence'.. or gun rights, immigration etc. He's really not doing much more than Ross Perot did a few decades ago... only Ross didn't believe himself the first time, and the mainstream media was prepped for attack and character assassination the second, as negative campaigning is about the only campaigning done in the States these days.

The ad is played for pure laughs, taking him as he was, not as he would be today... sort of like "Springtime for Hitler".... reminds me of that tv show "Hogans Hereos"... a nice analogy of how 'evil' is forgotten in various ways, laughter, ridicule and revisionism being a few... but the use of humor in this manner reminds me of an article on sott.net today about seeing the 'good' in psychopaths... 'humanizing' them, make them ready for Saturday Night Live.... which goes to show how rotten our system has become, full of these idiots, which is much the same as 'The Crow', Crowley said in his retirement in the 80s... and the process increases every decade.
