Europe's largest military exercise - 'Joint Warrior'

The Cosmic Force
The following three articles appeared today on the UK Daily Mail website, and I could not help but wonder about the timing of them, given that the Daily Mail is quite the rabble-rousing 'newspaper'.

Blair is trying once again to ramp up the fear factor to justify ever more being spent on the 'War on Terror'. Cameron states that he will 'take no risks with Britain's security', while the French say that a terrorist attack on Britain is 'very likely'. Do they know something we don't?

My interest piqued, a quick look on SOTT revealed that Europe's largest military exercise is due to start in October.

SoTT said:
A total of 30 ships, three submarines, seven helicopter units, 14 land based air units and 11 separate ground forces will take part in the annual wargame, pegged to be Europe's largest military exercise.

I thought the timing of these articles was rather suggestive, given that they all appeared on the same day, but of exactly what I'm not sure. I guess we'll just have to wait and see and keep our eyes open . . .

UK Daily Mail said:
West is being 'outspent, outmanoeuvred and out-strategised' by Islamic extremism, warns Blair

The West is being 'outspent, outmanoeuvred and out-strategised' by violent Islamic extremism, Tony Blair has warned.

The former prime minister said that there had been a failure to challenge the 'narrative' that Islam was oppressed by the West which was fuelling extremism around the world.

UK Daily Mail said:
We're keeping Trident: Cameron risks Lib Dem anger as he insists nuclear deterrent stays

* Trident to be replaced with like-for-like deterrent
* Admission Afghanistan will never be 'a perfect democracy'
* Echo of JFK's 'peace corps' as young can serve overseas

The Prime Minister made a cast-iron pledge yesterday to renew the Trident nuclear deterrent, promising: ‘I will take no risks with Britain’s security.’

Mr Cameron called for the public to back the Armed Forces and vowed that the Government will do the same.

UK Daily Mail said:
Terrorist attack in Britain is 'very likely' according to extreme French Foreign Ministry warning

The French have issued their most extreme warning in recent years about the dangers of visiting Britain, saying a terrorist attack is ‘very likely’.

A dramatic statement on the website of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs adds that visitors need to exercise ‘extreme vigilance’.

This is especially so in world famous sites like London’s Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus, and on the capital’s public transport system.

Yeah, it's an interesting time. The "trident" thing by Cameron sounds like the standard pandering to the armaments industry and the war profiteers, no change there.

Blair is a psychopath, a war criminal and a pusillanimous idiot, I think most people know that more or less, so he can be ignored.

The French warning about a "terror attack" in England is most interesting to me. Coming on the heels of the "terror alerts" last week in France with the claim that the Eiffel Tower was a target etc, it sounds almost like the Frenchies hitting back at the UK because they perceive that the "alerts" against French were perhaps orchestrated by the Brits (who are up to their necks in the manufactured Muslim terrorism threat).

Add in this from today:

Obama is inventing nonsensical terror threats for political gain, say European and Pakistani intelligence

Pakistani diplomat launches scathing attack on White House

European intelligence claims raised terror alerts 'nonsensical'

A US terror alert issued this week about al-Qaida plots to attack targets in western Europe was politically motivated and not based on credible new information, senior Pakistani diplomats and European intelligence officials have told the Guardian.

And it seems that all Western Intel agencies may no longer we signing from exactly the same song sheet.

It'll be interesting to watch their sordid little bag of tricks start to come apart at the seams
