If CCTV footage has emerged, "showing the exact moment of the explosion" - that same footage can be "time lapsed back" revealing details of when the object was placed there and by who?

Every inch of New York is wired for sound and visual - and monitored from a dozen angles with CCTV.......
and "they" can only produce "the exact moment" the explosion happened? How selective - of them!

Interesting timing w.r.t presidential debate that supposed to happen in a week. Looks like they are coordinated given that bombs in bith NYC and NJ are trash can bombs. Normally NJ doesn't get that many bombs, this one's timing is off. Given that Trump is famous for his Trump casino in Atlantic city (NJ coastline) not far from Seaside park, both the candidate gets their share of 'security talk' for the debate. Hillary looks weak and seems to have not recovered yet. Fire works before the show (debate)?

When I saw both pieces of news this morning combined with the fact the US bombed and killed some 80 Syrian Army personnel I immediately thought distraction. Looks like the Emperor of Chaos has struck again! Obama (the Nobel Piece Prize goon) came out and said he is sorry about the bombing. I don't think so...

Also shows that the US Elite are freaking out on the backlash they already received about their war crime in support of ISIS. And more of it is sure to follow.

Yes, I had the same thought that this was a purposeful distraction to affect the news cycle & counteract the attack on the Syrian army to protect ISIS - in addition to all the pay-to-play corruption being exposed by Guccifer 2.0. I couldn't believe the pressure cooker angle being pushed again. Funny that CNN provided the picture - not in a humorous way.

I was just thinking the second bomb they found at 27th street, not far away from Chelsea Clinton's apartment, or HRC's private Clinic in Chelsea.
I happened to be there on 23rd street at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, shopping in Trader Joe's.

Indeed, the tension is getting really high and I'm amazed by how the Russians are able to keep their calm and stick to using diplomatic means (which with the US usually leads nowhere) to address this insane action by the US psychos, knowing full well that the other side keeps on playing dirty and gets away with these actions most of the time.

On Sunday New York's Governor said that the bombing attack was an "act of terror" but police and authorities are still trying to determine whether the serial bomber behind the two attacks is linked to an international terror group.

Elizabeth, N.J. (AP) -- A suspicious device found in a trash can near a New Jersey train station exploded early Monday as a bomb squad was attempting to disarm it with a robot, officials said.

Elizabeth Mayor Christian Bollwage said that the FBI was working to disarm one of five devices found in the same bag, which was discovered in a trash can by two men around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, near the Elizabeth train station on New Jersey Transit's Northeast Corridor rail line. The men had reported seeing wires and a pipe coming out of the package, Bollwage said.

There was no immediate report of injuries or damage. A message left with the FBI wasn't immediately returned. The mayor warned that other explosions were expected.

NJ Transit service was suspended early Monday between Newark Liberty Airport and Elizabeth, and New Jersey-bound Amtrak trains were being held at New York Penn Station, officials said, while New York-bound Amtrak trains were being held in Trenton.

Train passengers reported being stuck on Amtrak and NJ Transit trains for hours Sunday night, while some trains moved in reverse to let passengers off at other stations. Amtrak said 2,400 passengers were affected and that trains were being brought into other stations for people to get other transportation. It wasn't clear when the Elizabeth station would be open, a threat to cause major issues on the Monday morning commute into New York.

The discovery of the suspicious package comes a day after an explosion in Manhattan injured 29 people, and an unexploded pressure-cooker device was found four blocks away. Also Saturday, a pipe bomb exploded about an hour from the Elizabeth train station in Seaside Park, New Jersey, forcing the cancellation of a military charity 5K run. Officials said it didn't appear that those two incidents were connected, though they weren't ruling anything out.

Investigators didn't immediately comment on whether they thought the Elizabeth incident was connected to either of the two blasts.

Bollwage said that he wasn't willing to say that Elizabeth had become a target, and that it was possible that someone worried about the authorities was trying to get rid of the package.

But now that they kept it up after the Chelsea situation; I wonder if they're shooting for a revamping of the homegrown terrorist cells concept once again. And if so, to what end?

Funny enough, my mom said to me this morning "stay away from malls and crowded places, scarring you, that's what they want" she's someone I say is largely uninformed, but by god she got it this time.

As many as five people were taken into FBI custody Sunday night in connection with Saturday's explosion in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood, following a traffic stop on the Belt Parkway in Brooklyn, just off the Verrazano–Narrows Bridge, which connects the New York City boroughs of Brooklyn and Staten Island, law enforcement sources tell ABC News.

The FBI's New York field office said a traffic stop had been conducted, but did not elaborate. "We did a traffic stop of a vehicle of interest in the investigation. No one has been charged with any crime. The investigation is continuing," read a tweet.

Law enforcement officials have obtained surveillance videos that show a man near the site of a Saturday evening explosion in New York and the location where a pressure cooker bomb was found four blocks away, multiple local and federal law enforcement sources said.

The video shows a man dragging what has been described as a duffel bag with wheels on 23rd Street around 7:50 p.m., about 40 minutes before the explosion, according to the sources.

The video shows the man near the area where the explosion happened, according to a senior law enforcement official.

Authorities are looking for more video to build a timeline of his movements Saturday evening. Surveillance shows the same man on 27th Street about 10 minutes later with the same duffel bag, leaving it where police found an unexploded pressure cooker, multiple law enforcement sources said.

After the man leaves, the video shows two men removing from the duffel bag a white garbage bag believed to contain the pressure cooker, according to a senior law enforcement official and another source familiar with the video.

The men then walked away with the duffel bag the sources said.

Investigators have not determined if those two men are connected to the man dragging the duffel bag on both streets, the sources said.
