Yes, a big wow from me too. Some years ago I had read about the institutionalized racism that exists towards the Ethiopian jews who migrated to Israel but they, the Israelis, are now putting the non-jewish immigrants into what look like prison camps to maintain the country's "Jewish identity". Unfortunately, such behavior is pretty common in Israel, so no surprise there, even if more civilized/leaning to the left Israelis call it "the behavior of an ugly Israeli". It makes them feel good about themselves, that they don't behave in such an overtly racist way, but on the other hand they do nothing to protest the actions of their government. Of course, there ARE good people, and there were mass demonstrations against Netaniahu's policies, but they were more related to the social problems now rampant in Israel (like this: http://www.sott.net/article/267724-Over-30-Israelis-close-to-poverty-line ) rather than Palestinian or immigrants problems. When it comes to such topics, most Israelis are either very pro-IDF, or say that we may not have a choice and government's actions are for the best. The same goes for the "infiltrators problem".
There is a gradual moral deterioration in Israel that affects everything in the country. It was always present, due to the high percentage of psychopaths, no doubt, but now the cracks are wider and harder to hide. The mask is slipping. That's why Israel's rabid behavior becomes more and more apparent to the world, while most of the Israelis remain oblivious to it, or do feel something, but quickly select and substitute everything that causes cognitive dissonance. At least there are few who do have the courage to stand up and refuse the blatant lies.
But, yeah, it may be too insignificant and too late, so Israel is on the fast track toward self-destruction. And now we know how the Universe may respond to such a concentration of ugliness and evil. As for the earthquakes, it's been an ever present danger for Israel, since it is located in the Syria-African rift, so there are periodical predictions and warnings in the media that the big one is way overdue.
But there IS something strange about these earthquakes, well, at least some of them. It may be a "natural" phenomena, it may be a message from the Universe, and it also can be related to IDF's weapon testing, or construction of underground bases. Who knows really! There were many rumors in Israel, especially during a period when the attack on Iran was expected to happen "any day now", that IDF was conducting a weapon testing out in the sea near the Northern region of the country, and was the cause of several minor earthquakes at that time. Usually, earthquakes that originate in the lake of Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) are considered to be natural, but there were also all kind of talks about it, especially since it is close to the Syrian border (99 km SW of Damascus).
Another thing to consider, that there is supposedly a huge underground city/bunker in Jerusalem, and another one called "
site 911" that is going to be build by US for IDF just outside of Tel-Aviv. So who knows what else they are doing.
