Seconded! The bridge scene is amazing for tension. Great film by William Friedkin.

I like William Friedkin. He's really good in stressful scenes, car chases, and nerve-wracking situations. Remember The French Connection and To Live and Die in L.A.

Yuppy! Me too. Many years I did not see the Clouzot movie. And maybe the French Connection because I like the actors, Gene Hackman, Roy Scheider, specially the last one.

"French Connection", what a great film. Also I agree about Gene Hackman and Roy Scheider, old-school actors with tremendous commitment to their roles. In "Sorcerer", Scheider is totally believable as an actor. His character's desperation is palpable.
