Fourteen people have died after a bus plunged into water in southern Russia's Krasnodar Territory, a regional emergency service source told Sputnik on Friday.
"According to updated data, 14 people were killed, 24 were rescued," the source said.

It was ealier reported that twelve people were confirmed dead, while 20 were rescued. The source also said earlier that three people remain missing.

The incident occurred on Friday morning when the bus fell into the sea near the village of Volna in Kransodar region's Temryuk district. The vehicle was carrying construction workers of the "Tamanneftegaz" firm that was engaged in the construction of a pierce in the village.

The territorial Emergencies Ministry press service confirmed the incident and said searches are being carried out with assistance from federal rescue teams.

The Investigative Committee said it launched a criminal case into a suspected traffic violation that led to the deadly incident.

Petrenko said that earlier on Saturday the investigators questioned Karapet Mikaelyan, the driver of the bus, and private entrepreneur Yuriy Vecheradze as suspects in the case.

The bus carrying about 50 construction workers plunged into the Kerch Strait near the village of Volna in the Krasnodar region on Friday killing 18 people. The body of the 18th, presumably the last victim of the crash, was found on Saturday morning, a source in a Krasnodar Territory department of the Russian Emergencies Ministry told Sputnik.

The body of the 18th victim of the bus crash was found, a source in a local department of the Emergencies Ministry told Sputnik.

"The body of the last victim, who had previously been considered missing, was raised to the surface," the source said.

Unfortunately accidents like this happen rather often, and all over the world. But there is a curious coincidence that the name of the village is "Volna", which means "Wave" in Russian. And the bus plunged into the sea.

The bus was carrying about 50 construction workers who were working under contract for a private entrepreneur Yuriy Vecheradze, in a pier construction project. 18 died in the incident. The driver of the bus survived and there might be evidence suggesting - that it was not an accident? Maybe, there was a "pay dispute" or some other problem and Yuriy Vecheradze devised a method of getting rid of the workers and still keep his bank account? So, I can understand the need for an investigation.
