Hey guys & girls! My girlfriend has a collection of books in Mathematics and Others and she wants to give away all of them. I told her that on the forum there might be people interested in some books, so that we can send them through post mail.

Is there in this list a book for people like me that when in front of mathematics become paralyzed? I don't understand at all numbers, I have vertigo in front of them. I become imbecile. (it is not a joke and I think my life can improve if I understand mathematics). But maybe those books are for advance students.

I think that Linear Algebra, the 1000 pages book has a diverse set of maths starting from easy til hard. But i will let you know! The books are for the forum. The books look University level math (-Photoshop CS2 Bible). If you're anything like me having been intimidated by maths early on, because no teacher was able to relate it in a way that made sense (other than just memorize), and so kept away from engaging with math, save for +,-,*,/, then I'd say these books are not the best place to start. A few years ago I decided to re-challenge that 'I just can't do math' and signed up for a high school level course, but having been away from maths for 20 years and having skipped a lot in basic school, I had to first get the basics straight and just doing Khan academy's simple math games helped a lot, they go from preschool to college level, and can be set to Spanish.
