Hey guys & girls! My girlfriend has a collection of books in Mathematics and Others and she wants to give away all of them. I told her that on the forum there might be people interested in some books, so that we can send them through post mail.

The list is this:
Differential Equations - With Graphical and numerical methods - Bernard W. Banks
Analisis Numerico Y Visualizacion Grafica - Shoichiro Nakamura (spanish edition)
Nonlinear Dynamics in Engineering and Science - Jens Starke
SIAM Review - A Publication of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics - April 1960, Vol2 No. 2
Za Zen - Katsuki Sekida(spanish edition)
Problem Solvers - Linear Algebra - REA(Research Education Association)- 1012 Pages
Photoshop CS2 Bible
Parabolas Y Catastrofes - Entrevista sobre matematica, ciencia y filosofia - Rene Thom(spanish edition)
Introduction to Real Analysis - Michael J. Schramm
Mathematical Brain Benders 2nd Miscellany of Puzzles - Stephen Barr
Applied Matrix - Algebra In the Statistical Sciences - Alexander Basilevsky
Real Variables with Basic Metric Space Topology - Robert B. Ash
The Mathematics of Soap Films: Explorations with Maple - John Oprea
Functions, Spaces and Expansion - Mathematical Tools in Physics and Engineering - Ole Christensen
Algebra Lineal y sus aplicaciones - Gilbert Strang(spanish edition)
Miller & Freund's Probability and statistics for engineers - Richard A. Johnson
Introduction to Maple - Andre Heck
Introduction to Operations Research - Frederick S. Hillier, Gerald J. Lieberman

So these are the books. If there is anyone interested in some of them just let me know. It is a money saver for those who study in the field.

I am interested in:

  • Differential Equations - With Graphical and numerical methods - Bernard W. Banks
  • Nonlinear Dynamics in Engineering and Science - Jens Starke
  • Problem Solvers - Linear Algebra - REA(Research Education Association)- 1012 Pages
  • Miller & Freund's Probability and statistics for engineers - Richard A. Johnson

If anyone needs these selections for school or something equally pertinent let me know as i'm interested in them for curiosity's sake.

Ok trendsetter, give me a PM in which we can keep contact, maybe you have an adress where i can send them.

Is there in this list a book for people like me that when in front of mathematics become paralyzed? I don't understand at all numbers, I have vertigo in front of them. I become imbecile. (it is not a joke and I think my life can improve if I understand mathematics). But maybe those books are for advance students.

If nobody wants: Parabolas Y Catastrofes - Entrevista sobre matematica, ciencia y filosofia - Rene Thom(spanish edition) I am interested in it. The title seems interesting and the subject also. Where are you? Just tell us the price for the envoie. But if someone needs the book, please take it.

I live in Copenhagen, Denmark. I will go and check for the mail prices, and then inform you back. I think that Linear Algebra, the 1000 pages book has a diverse set of maths starting from easy til hard. But i will let you know! The books are for the forum. Except members from Denmark, I will send them through mail. Nobody else seems interested.

The books look University level math (-Photoshop CS2 Bible). If you're anything like me having been intimidated by maths early on, because no teacher was able to relate it in a way that made sense (other than just memorize), and so kept away from engaging with math, save for +,-,*,/, then I'd say these books are not the best place to start. A few years ago I decided to re-challenge that 'I just can't do math' and signed up for a high school level course, but having been away from maths for 20 years and having skipped a lot in basic school, I had to first get the basics straight and just doing Khan academy's simple math games helped a lot, they go from preschool to college level, and can be set to Spanish.
