I think the guy who was promoting the book in this thread was probably the author. This was the only thread he ever posted on and it looks like it was just a promotional effort - when he didn't the praise he was looking for, he took off. He was also using the same arguments in the thread that I heard on a couple of interviews/videos. I know what you mean about his presentation. He comes across to me as though he is pontificating and seems to lack a connection with the audience and host. One of the things that perked my ears up was that he said was that people won't feel emotion towards others when disaster happens at a distance. True to some extent but not as a generalization... He had also given some faulty info about psychopathy in that interview, which matches the misconceptions earlier in the thread (if indeed the author was the original poster). - mostly missing the point of how psychopaths are completely devoid of emotion, describing elements of characteropathy/sociopathy as psychopathy, and just blurring the lines all around.
