Germany expels CIA Berlin chief over NSA spying

Comment: Is the German government starting to see that the US is not acting in the interest of Germany or is it all just a fake outrage and business as usual?

My guess it is a fake outrage.
I'm not gonna buy the mainstream Julian Assange/wikileak and Ed Snowden/NSA narrative.

First of all the MSM is picking up all that too willingly. Remember Operation Mockingbird:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Mockingbird
And of course, still today a mainstream journalist is kind of a paid prostitute for those in power.

Secondly if the PTB wouldn't want to have this content released, they would choke down the entire issue and flood the news with other stuff.

Thirdly nothing that really hurts the PTB came out of all disclosures so far. It was all on the level of diplomatic gossip only. They let us know „They did it!“ and „Opps, they did it again!“ and „They do whatever is possible technically“ but not what was leaked specifically. Or did you hear anything about 9/11 or the JFK assassination?

And always in the past when the media criticized the intelligence services, they went to restructure a little, which simply means ...the spooks got more money.

The big spin behind the wikileak/NSA novella I see, is the following:
The internet (=global communication) is real pain in the ass of the PTB because they have too little influence. So they create a debate about how to avoid spying, how to make everything more secure. They already talk about an european internet and so on.
It will end up that each internet user have to have rights/permissions for using selected internet offers. Without those permissions we can neither buy nor sell, write or read specific topics, make banking etc. Germany shall push this new agenda in the EU.
And the digital right management will be implemented in each CPU and/or BIOS on each computer. At this point it doesn't make a difference anymore if we use Windows, MacOS oder Linux. When they control the digital rights at the root level of each hardware device they have a tamed internet. Its all about control.

BTW: The German foreign intelligence service (BND) is nothing but a branch of the CIA/NSA(MI6/Mossad) services and everybody in the German political establishment knows this, since decades.
The victors of WW2 would never had accepted a German foreign intelligence service acting in the interest of Germany. Take a look at the direct forerunner of the BND, the Gehlen Organization and in who's behalf it was founded in 1946:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gehlen_Organization
The BND never freed itself from its origin. They just changes its name from Gehlen Organization to BND and they are still loyal (and inferior) to the CIA/US.
I do not see anybody in the German political class who is going to challenge the status out.

You are probably right about most of it (and most forum and SOTT readers know all that, as well). One thing I'm wondering about though, is what is the attitude of Big Business and industry. There's also lots of industrial espionage going on all over the place, and if the big corporate powers were unhappy about that (their "trade secrets", etc.) then maybe there will be some pressure on the politicians. The politicians aren't going to challenge the status quo, as you say, unless there is some reason for them to react. The politicians around the world are also blackmailed because they are spied on (a particular specialty of Mossad) and even if they don't "naturally" have enough dirty laundry, they can be set up to then be blackmailed.

If there was enough outrage in the general public, there may be some pressure around elections for some politicians to at least give lip service to all the spying, but that's about it (public's stance doesn't count for much). Also, I agree about the whole Wikileaks/Assange/Snowden thing being manipulated (and again most SOTT and forum readers know this already). The thing that was most interesting in the article when I read it this morning is that the CIA station chief works out of the American Embassy - they don't even bother trying to hide the fact that the whole embassy is just a spying operation anymore.

On the other hand it is also released during the world cup games in Brazil and where the German team reached the final, though it may go further unnoticed. The question is then - as raised in the article -, maybe there are working all together and I think also the opposite could be true due to their paranoia not to be trusting anyone at all, at least this could be a result of this.

It could also be said that the CIA and it's branches are the children of the Gestapo as far as I remember (project paperclip comes to mind).

A former chief of the BND around 2009 wrote a book concerning the root of this topic, he is hiding now...

Please read what the subject in this thread researched about german history, you won't like it, but that's what was and is going on since 70 years now. Our politicians know full well about these circumstances, but won't dare to change it.

I recently saw a clip on youtube of a public discussion in Stuttgart last year. One courageous man stood up and asked Angela Merkel about this whole occupation situation. Like always she tried to sneak her way through a direct answer, but knew exactly what he was talking about.

So to me that whole disclosure thing is only for us sheeples, to show how much they care for us. A red herring.

This is very important.

The NSA spys on Germany and gets away with it... because the US and Germany have secret treaties in which they agree that this is perfectly ok - until 2099, at least!

No wonder they weren't very convincing with their 'outrage'...

U.S.-German secret treaty means Berlin is Washington's vassal until 2099

Former German intelligence chief: In 1949 West Germany signed up to become United States vassal, NATO contemplated false-flag nuclear attack to 'cement' deal
