A reader recently sent us a link to this website: _http://global-government.com/ where it says:

Here you will find many viewpoints on the ideas of globalization and global government in general. The opinions of the documents listed here are not necessarily the viewpoints of Global-Government.com but we do believe that in considering globalization and global government all ideas and opinions should be evaluated. We are for a stronger global government under certain conditions. For example, if each existing country was given equal opportunity and representation in the global government bodies we would be more for than against the idea. As you read through the documents, and consider the ideas of what already exists, what may exist in the future, the pros and cons, feel free to make the decisions yourself whether you would want to see the world as a single united entity under the rule of one single "Federal Global" government, or if you think it's best the way it is.
Then you will find the following hyperlinked "table of contents"

Now, if you click these links, you will find that most of them are just a few paragraphs about the topic and some adverts. But a couple of them happen to be entire books posted online, including Secret History of the World by yours truly.

Now, while it is certainly flattering to have my book considered by someone to be worth all that work, scanning every page, and putting it up as pdfs, I really would like to have had my permission asked... and it wasn't.

What is more, we have no idea who this person (people?) are behind this website and whether or not they are cointelpro agents running a sting or what.

We did discover that the website is one of those that is registered "by proxy" ... and after a bit of searching found the following which pretty much makes it certain that there is nothing we can do about this blatant copyright piracy.

A random selection of clicks reveals that none of these are links to anywhere... they are just empty domain names.

Strange. It seems that I can't get this site. Not the homepage and not the second link - says "can not find server".
Is it working for you right now?

Same here, with Opera and Internet Explorere.

Hmm would it be possible to complain to GoDaddy about this? I mean isn't it illegal what they are doing by posting your book, and they say that one of the reasons that they can reveal the registration info is if required by law.

hope that helps.

PS: the email in the whois record(s) is glasglow at hotmail dot com.

Dont know if it depends on what country you are in, but i get it here no problem. Yeps some one has gone through the books attaching links to certain words which if clicked upon go to other peoples websites, adverts and so on, which up to now all look alike, templates and all.

How strange.

Hoping this situation gets resolved and Secret History is removed from there and with some compensation also.

The books that are posted, including SHOTW seem to be used as advertising for some of their? other sites. Within each page of a particular book there are usually a couple of hyper-linked words that take you to another site.

For example in the posted SHOTW Introduction,
Laura said:
Also, like many of you, in my search for "spiritual truths"[...]
the word 'search' is hyper-linked to an 'auctions information' website - the linked sites generally don't have anything to do with the context of the written piece, although on occasion there is some surface similarity.

Seems like an advertising based site rather than an informational one, which in a different way than normal introduces noise (phony advertising) within a high signal (SHOTW).

the website is coming now. 811 pages of stolen material posted . . . *ouch*

that was heavy-handed.

BUT
- he or they didn't count on DNS information being cached and diffusing rather slowly
- he or they set up the server with the stolen material china, with obvious intent to defraud Laura and stay beyond american (western) copyright laws - "malice" comes to mind.
- i followed some links from different pages. they all lead to spam domains registered to the same person as above - one "Michael Dmay" "Michael D. May Author of Glasglow.com. Fashion designer, Father, English Professor, Classical Guitar Player, Programmer, Business Owner, Investor." (blurb)

- Here another contact address, this time in Canada, from one of these domains

this *could* be a hijacked publication from another author, 79 pages

_http://www . marketingintro . com / BusinessMarketingHowtopitchabrilliantidea / index . html

the main page of above domain links to several papers which appear to have been 'hijacked in the same way as SHOTW. I wonder if this is the case and if the authors are aware of this.

the whole thing looks like a giant network with perhaps hundreds of domains used for spam/scam operations. interesting.

Like what? I am not sure what is "unusual". Can you explain? (I clicked on the link but perhaps I don't understand what the report means.)

In the original posting, Laura indicated that the files were PDF, but this is not true (or not true where I checked). The files are html and the text you see is actually in the page. (Do a View->Page Source).

This means either someone went to a significant amount of trouble to enter in the data or they have one of the electronic copies they converted to html. Having never purchased an e-book from Red Pill Press, I am not familiar with the distribution mechanism.

As far as I knew (and I could be way off) one does not usually "hop" from the US directly to China, but rather takes a few hops to get there. I could be completely wrong here but it certainly appears from checking a few other things that the IP is a proxy.
