Gluten free diet question

So what I'm wondering is WHY haven't I had this reaction before? The only thing I can think of is that I've detoxed somewhat and that somehow makes me more sensitive? I don't understand how, it's either that or I never noticed how I was feeling in general before. I think I was de-sensitized to bloating and gas and aches and pains to a certain degree but it never came close to what I experienced yesterday.

Bingo! :grad:

I've found that I've also become sensitive to certain foods that never seemed to bother me before. Sometimes the reactions can be within minutes now. It makes me wonder about some babies that may cry often (after they start eating food) or reject certain foods. Are they doing so because the foods are causing them pain or discomfort?

Hi everyone,

I've already asked myself what could be used as milk replace. Unfortunately, I couldn't find yet any suitable product where I live without additives, etc. :( I am still searching because I am a coffee drinker and I am not sure whether to quit this or not (Mate tea could be a replace for coffee; what do you think?).
I observed one peculiar thing: The years prior to Ultrasimple Diet and the very diet tips offered here I stopped from time to time my daily coffee consumption (usually 1-2 cups a day), and yes, I got these very headaches, too. It's very common. But after I changed my diet completely and implemented all the recommendations and tips and stopped coffee for a couple of days or 1-2 weeks (I can't remember how long it was) I didn't get headaches at all, or it wasn't noticeable at least. However, at the present time I drink coffee again.

[quote author=Stranger]But the point is: Interestingly sugar, milk, chocolate, coffee and gluten have the same effect as heroine, they only have a much lower effect. Maybe this is the reason the world is on this food-opiates nonstop: Because the just want to feel this satisfaction and innocence because their inner core didn't got enough closeness and mothers love, so in fact they are still a child crying painful for love and acceptance. Consuming this opiate-like foods is a silent, unconscious but desperate try to escape this cruel and inhuman condition in our society. If they would quiet consuming these drugs, they maybe would realize their unbelievable sad and senseless situation.
That's absolutely the same conclusion which I also came to.

I have begun making my own almond milk since I decided the soy had to go, and it had been the only one I could get w/o carrageenan. It is easier than it sounds, though mine does need to be stirred or shaken, and I need to get a finer sieve to pour it through a second time. I put about 2 cups of raw almonds in the food processor and grind til it's as fine as you can get. Then put the grounds in the blender with 4 cups of water and liquefy for a minute, then pour through a sieve. Then I put the grounds back in the blender with more water and liquefy again Then dilute til the consistency you like. I get almost a gallon out of this. You may have to pour through the sieve in small batches. I have used the left over grounds in gluten free applesauce cake.
