Happy birthday to Laura!

Happy birthday, Laura. I am sure you must have enjoyed that chocolate mousse and the company of your extended family.
I am glad that you are in such loving hands.

Update on the festivities!

We had the scrumptious dinner and the mousse was perfect. I mean, absolutely. Can't even describe it! We stuck a candle on it and that was the "cake".

Then, the "prezzies." The only thing I ever ask for is bath gel or salts, that sort of thing. But every year, the kids try to find something unique. This year, all of them together outdid themselves!

A 1958 manual typewriter... "for the ice age"!
A square peg in a round hole (I'll get a photo of it up soon) made by one of the guys.
A beautiful inlaid wooden chest made by two of the guys. (They are practicing woodcraft stuff.)
A magnifying mirror light (because my eyes are going kaflooey).
A piece of oystershell with a nascent pearl embedded in it. (Really cool).
A frame for a family heirloom christening dress I've been wanting to put up like a picture.
A bag with bath gel and shampoo!

THEN, the highlight: Timotheos wrote a new song inspired by my article "Let's All Light Up". Ark made a little video of him playing and singing it so maybe I can get it up shortly.

So a good time was had by all. Now, back to "Fragments..."

Thank you all for such sweet words and beautiful pictures and lovely music! I now have a little collection of peacock pictures to do something with!

It sounds like a most excellent day, good food, good friends, and a bunch of awesome presents! I love the manual typewriter idea for the ice age! :D Can't wait to hear the latest tune by Timotheos and see pics of all the cool stuff.

Happy Birthday, Laura!
You are, but a year younger!

PS: Make sure you have a supply for the black/red ink tapes,
and liquid paper for corrections!
