Inflammation. We've all heard the term and we've all experienced it either acutely or chronically. Today on the Health and Wellness show we'll talk about inflammation -- what it is, what it does (both good and bad) and why, if you peek under the skirt of most disease states, you'll find it. But don't despair. Inflammation, both hidden and overt, doesn't have to be permanent. There are ways to decrease it!

Just echoing what was said regarding diet, I recently discovered that I needed to be on a low histamine diet which means that what I've been eating for the last few years of nothing but fat, organic sausages and bone broth was doing more harm than good since the latter two are high histamine foods.

Another supplement people might want to look into is Mangosteen its an amazing anti-inflammatory. Its one of the top five supportive supplements mentioned in the book The Top 10 Lyme Disease Treatments: Defeat Lyme Disease with the Best of Conventional and Alternative Medicine by Bryan Rosner.

In the same book there are stories of people in nursing homes in the late stages of alzheimers who are able to reverse the disease and reclaim their ability to function and communicate. As well as the author herself successfully treating migraines and her sons asthma.
You can get it as a juice or in extract form (if you want to avoid any sugars). Just make sure what you do get contains both the fruit and the rind (pericarp) as the latter is where most of the powerful antioxidants know as xanthones are found.
