As for the storm that knocked out the power, I'd never seen anything like before.

Glad to hear that you all got power back! It's still out where I live (currently, it seems like it'll probably be out until the weekend--a full week long), but most places around me have power now so I can go places and get it.
It was also nothing like anything I've ever seen as well--very strange!

Foxx said:I do think they're doing all they can--there's just a lot of downed trees and power lines right now and I'm not in a very "high priority" area. There was a crew working on my street today, so perhaps it'll return soon, but there was also another sizable storm just now (hail, close thunder/lightning, and high winds) so who knows. I'll make it through (or leave), so I'm not too concerned, but this really is some crazy weather!

Wait and see but it is better to get prepared in any case IMHO.

Same up here - the summer can't seem to get going and temperatures are well below 20 degrees Celsius, combined with still air - this still air has become more and more frequent. No wasps or bubmlebees so far either, for the first time that I have noticed.Laura said:We still can't quite get summer going here. We had a couple days where it got up to 36-38 C (97-100 F) but then, the clouds came and the rain and it cooled down to 10 C ... sorta warmed up a bit but it has continued to rain off and on, right now about 18 C. Supposed to keep raining and get down to 12 C in two days. Heck, this is JULY!!!
