The Force is Strong With This One
I have been using drug for my high blood pressure since 1986. My average was around 160/100 mm Hg without drug.
I have used the following drugs :
Tenormine (Atenolol - beta blocker) from 1986 to 1989
I was forced to quit Tenormine because it was forbidden in competition target shooting I was practicing at that time.
In 1989 I went to Renitec (Enalapril)
then in 2002 my heart doctor put me on :
Atacand 8 (candesartan cilexetil - angiotensin II receptor antagonist)
In november I tried not to take my daily Atacand. My blood pressure was then 155/95 mm Hg.
Since 3 months or so I had reduced by half my Atacand and since about 3 weeks I don’t take Atacand at all.
My pressure is now regularly around 130/80 mm Hg!!! Incredible!
As factors responsible of my better blood pressure, I consider the following :
- I am retired since November, so no more stress due to office work.
- My stepson is no more at home. The living with my sweetie is now fairly quiet.
- I don’t drink coffee anymore, only green tea at breakfast
- And maybe the most important, I do EE breathing regularly since last September, the full meditation on Mondays and Thursdays and pipe breathing anytime in the day.
If EE breathing is the main cause of improvement, that’s really a fantastic tool!
I read that Atacand can cause back pain. That’s my case since many years. I’ll see in the next months if there is an improvement.
