Good to hear you'r doing the EE and feeling better ;)

Thank you for the link andi. I just bought rooibos tea as replacement.

I like to ask this question to see if other forum members have experienced same recently.

I'm 64 years old and I have hypertension. It runs in my family. Without medication it will measure around 140/85. I sometimes feel a slight dizziness at these levels but not always. I take Atenolol daily, around 35 mg. I take a 50 mg tablet and break it up to get this reduced dosage. I don't want anymore of it than necessary. In prior years, this med has worked like magic. It takes me down to 120/80 in no time at all. This has changed in the past 6 months. Now I take my med and my BP remains elevated. I've had various thoughts about this.

One is that over time, a higher dosage may be required. But I suspect there's more. Energy levels on this planet are probably going up. The HAARP beaming is most likely increasing. Additionally, the approaching "wave" may have numerous effects on our physiology of which BP variables are one. I know I'm simply guessing out loud. But it's an educated guess none the less. If other forum members have noticed this I would be most interested in their experience.

By the way, my diet is gluten free, for the most part. I consume lots of pork fat, and I take coconut oil with my tea...while munching short bread cookies (Walkers brand). It's a daily routine.

I do Taoist breathing exercises. Not precisely the same but very similar to EE. It's call condensing breathing for those interested and is related to bone marrow neikung practices.

Unfortunately, there is no such thing as "gluten free for the most part". Gluten is an all or nothing proposition. I would suggest that you drop the short bread cookies and all other sources of gluten (it's often hidden in spices and sauces) and give your body six months to be free of it so it can repair itself. Even one crumb of gluten sets you back to zero on the six month time period for your body to be free of it. A paleo diet (and more precisely a ketogenic diet) usually solves blood pressure issues completely. Please take the time to read the health and diet section for more information (specifically the threads Life Without Bread and Ketogenic Diet).

I will certainly do that. Thank you.

140/85 is not that high. They have defined high blood pressure down in order to get people on the drugs. The best doctor I had told me that years ago. he was so good he had to quit primary care because to the HMO rules. I used to have BP around that level and I refused to take the drugs which were recommended by other doctors and which can cause all sorts of problems.

Then I went on the ultra low carb paleo diet, lost weight, and my blood pressure went down to normal levels.

A good book to read on this, especially on the dangers of blood pressure medication is The High Blood Pressure Hoax by Sherry Rogers.

I agree with Mr. Premise, it is not generally recommended (at least not in my country) to treat diastolic BP < 90 mm Hg unless you are a diabetic or have other conditions that put you at risk.

Thank you. I will look into it.

Magnesium and omega-3 are natural hypertensives. :)

I knew what you meant. :)

And yes, natural remedies are my preference. I do take magnesium, though not everyday. I also plan to dig through my Cayce material to review what he had to say. Over the years, I've applied several of his methods on other ailments (castor oil packs, etc) with wonderful results.

Thank you for the heads up.

Hello!

My sister just informed me that she was diagnosed with High Blood Pressure at 25. It does run in our family because my mother has it, but I always assumed that it was due to her weight issues. I have read that the "Agua de Jamaica", which translates into Jamaica Water (a hibiscus flower) lowers high blood pressure, is full of vitamin C and in my family, we drink it all the time, guess she's gonna have to drink more! But I will look into the Ketogenic diet. To be honest, I'm a bit worried. :/

Perhaps you can give her a copy of Pirmal Body Primal Mind. Knowledge protects :flowers:

Is it the commercial agua de Jamaica? If so it has tons of sugar. Or is it homemade from hibiscus withou added sugar?

Thank You Psyche, I will definitely look into that book.

Hi Mr Premise! The "Agua de Jamaica" is the natural kind. We buy the actual flower and boil it, then add stevia. It's very delicious :).
