Incarnation

I am curious about human incarnation. I have read many if not all information here on the subject yet I would like to know how one knows how many icarnations they have had? My intense curiosity seems to be effecting my dreams and daily life with signs and subjects that seem to be telling me that I need to uderstand something that I am obviously not understanding. Any information would sure be appreciated. Thank you. :)/

Hi Arreis,

From what I understand, it does not really matter to know who you were in your previous lives, even if it's somehow interesting.
Even if you knew exactly who you were in previous lives, I think it's better to concentrate on your own life right now because you might begin to associate past life events with your present incarnation and make connections were they may not be relevant osit.

Your dreams may just be unconscious associations with your present state instead of past lives, maybe you could try to write them down and see if they are any other meanings associated to them ? just a thought.

Thank you. Im not really concerned about who I was in past lives just on how many times I have been incarnated. I do understand the importance of focusing on my presant life that is why I feel that it is of some importance for me to know how many times ive been incarnated. Weather or not it may seem important to anyone else to know it feels important for me to know and understand all I can on this subject.

Why do you want to know so bad? Have you asked yourself that? Does the answer really matter in how it effects this life now? How would knowing the number help you achieve your goals and doing the Work better?

Hi, Arreis13:

Have you considered the concept of Recurrence? Boris Mourvieff in Gnosis suggests the we do this lifetime repeatedly, perhaps hundreds of times with slight differences each time like viewing a movie over and over . We have to awaken to this process enough to break out of this cycle before we can even begin to reincarnate. Perhaps many of us have never reincarnated, this life is just an opportunity to break the dreary cycle of Recurrence.

Or if we have been reincarnating over time, how many times in a mineral, plant or animal form before we reach the human stage? Then does reincarnation need to be linear in this time line? Could we not reincarnate after this lifetime to a point in the past if that would be the best for our learning?

It's a very complex subject and we can do little more than speculate being careful not to fall into imagination. Personally, I prefer to do the Work each day so maybe I don't have to return to 3d again. Build a Soul so to speak. And if I can leave 3D for 4D to do it on an STO basis.

Just some thoughts.

Hi Arreis, it's my understanding that we start to get glimpses of past lives and an understanding about our own past lives if and when it is necessary (or helpful) for us to know such things in this life - if and when it helps our current lesson profile. It's not necessary, to my understanding, to ever get any real glimpse of a past life, since the current life is the one that matters. There is an enormous amount of disinformation out there regarding past lives that leads a lot of people astray into dreams - if you really want to make progress in this life, though, using the present to repair the past and prepare for the future is an excellent way of doing it.

what if all the incarnations happens in parallel from a soul's perspective in a given grand cycle, the number will not have any meaning ( as it can change). Of course physical vehicle's perspective it may be linear. - "cloud Atlas" movie.

Or what about if our incarnations are infinite?

What if we end up living the life of every other person/entity & consciousness in existence? .... and ultimately we are all the same person ..... all ONE, in fact? :)

Human incarnation roughly encompasses all forms of existence that humans could have had from the cave age to the present day, whether we know about them or not.
Think of it as a divided curtain and general intervals.

On the other hand, in its pure form, it could have been something like the hunter-gatherer life in the forest. This includes climbing trees, building homes, forming families, experiencing community, caring for children, creating shared experiences, producing music, generating social joy, exploring and researching other worlds, understanding animals, observing the external environment, developing instincts for escape, protection, and hiding, understanding the nature of movement, and if at the third level, gaining knowledge of 3D space and movement.

So, it could either produce a city and a pluralistic way of life from this situation (it could lead that way) or it could progress along that path (the natural path).

The number of incarnations a person goes through is infinite. Counting them is meaningless.

and thank you

If it works in a way that we are constantly evolving and reincarnations are part of the process, you have been also 1D and 2D being before even reincarnated into 3D and to human shell. So for your question "how many reincarnations I had?", the Cs could easily answer " Millions!". Or even more. At least this is how I understand it. So maybe slightly better question would be something like "How many times I was reincarnated on this Earth as a human?" ;-) And maybe "How to get some rough estimate myself?" :-)

Yeah, I had once a vision of "parallel" incarnating on a planet (at different times) as plunging the teeth of a comb into water.

That's exactly the main idea of a short story titled "The Egg" by Andy Weir.

The Egg said:
Dead guy (DG) - What about everyone else ?
God - There isn't anyone else. In this Universe, it's just you, and me.
DG - But... all these people, down there on Earth ?
God - All you... different incarnations of you, but all of you.
DG - I'm everyone ?
God - Yes, you're everyone. Everyone who has, or ever will, live.

On YT one can find different short movies from it, such as :

I think the deeper hunger beneath the question is, “Where am I in the story of being?”

And to that, I'd say you're in the stage of seeking information that will give you a direction to go. How many times you may or may not have incarnated isn't as important as whether this life, this story, will lead to a change at the end of its mortality.

If time is an illusion, and we're all parts of the whole on a journey to reintegrate with the 7th density, we incarnate infinitely. "I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together."

To know where you are, ask yourself what beliefs are breaking down? What truths feel terrifying but inevitable? What have you lost that you thought you couldn’t live without? What patterns are repeating that no longer make sense?

One loud signal for me was when I started feeling like everyone else is crazy, or that others miss the forest for the trees with regard to what is really relevant to their security and happiness. When I reached that point, it became much simpler to recognize someone who was like-minded, because they didn't seem crazy.

Hi Arreis,

I agree with the views present; non-linear, infinite, and All-is-One to all the degrees and in-between.

Although not too mentally healthy to ruminate so much on the topic, at this level, it can be broken down to it's bits and pieces.

Do you get the feeling 'we' have to forget certain things to incarnate, to play the role? In that process, our being has to be inculcated to 3rd density thinking and thought patterns? A natural derealization, disassociation, and illusion of separation? A process and pattern of marrying into our gene body, which would correlate with the cause and effect, of layers and layers, of our ancestors profiles?

I think we have a direct connection to our recent familial generations, but not as relevant to distant ancestors or species. Exceptions of course, lay in your destiny profile and lesson profile, as in which step of a linear spiral ladder we are on as individuals; in a very non-linear mind-existence. Hope that is helpful to your focus.
