Is trying to keep a positive mind even worth it anymore?

Positive, negative--I'd just suggest trying to remain functional in whatever capacity you're able to at any given moment. At the very least, I'd suggest not letting negativity bog you down into depression. Remember the predators and that they are defeatable with great effort. Remember what motivated you to start your inquiry, wherever that's led you currently.

They do say the night is darkest right before dawn, though I think dawn is still a ways away from our perspective, and depending upon your perspective.

Take care!

By a positive mind I mean like having a confidence for a better future, that things will turn for the best and truly keeping that feeling strong.
I just don't feel like I can believe in positivity anymore.

Well I think all we can do is work as hard as we can for a better future. What is the other option? Just give up? I think there is still hope. Have you had a chance to read the Wave series or Laura's other work?

:) bookmark this on your desktop you will needed long time if you start to read it.

As the C's have said so many time, non-anticipation is key -- although it's one of the hardest things for us. We can take all the negativity in our environment and transmute it to positive changes in ourselves -- to use the negativity as fuel, as it were, to do the Work on ourselves.

And if we can maintain that attitude of non-anticipation and keep making the efforts without any expectations of any particular outcome, we can never know the kinds of effects that will follow in a non-linear way. At least that's what I try to do.

Maybe this can help:

http://www.cassiopaea.org/cass/wave12b.htm
The Cassiopaeans have said that what we are here to do, what we must "be about" in terms of preparation to graduate to the next level, the level of true self-creation, is to learn the lessons of this density. This is related to the idea of being able to correctly discern what is in the reality and how it is working and if it is part of the "control process." Awareness can help a person avoid situations that will lead to pain and suffering and negative feelings. And awareness of the reality behind events that would ordinarily be perceived as either frightening or painful can greatly facilitate the maintenance of positivity.

Then there is also this:

Laura said:
I have observed, over many years, that many of the people who experience depression are those whose natures are somehow "at odds" with this world. It is generally those who are not satisfied with the "answers" that our religions, our culture, our science, give us about the world and all that happens within it who become depressed. And this usually happens when they begin to seek outside the framework of the "solid reality" that is presented to us as the only "real" thing, that they begin to experience the repercussions of the movement of the "Matrix" that seeks to keep them in line.

True Esoteric work has a predominately negative aspect during the early stages. The individual must work long and hard to undo whatever hinders his evolution.

I have sometimes when I felt like that, found that thinking the thought to the end helps, like:

"OK I'm never going to experience happiness, and then it only gets worse, and then I probably get sick on top, and then I die, alone, and in shame, and probably incarnate as something vile and sad, or not at all, and the whole word probably dies as well, and all was for nothing, and it's very depressing"

Then it seems that I'm slightly better at enjoying the small rays of sunlight shining through the rain now and then, concentrate better on what I can do, more than what I can't, and also to enjoy that I'm at least not dead yet today.

I guess I'm using reversed psychology on myself, to get to acceptance stage.

It might be useful or not...

Eeyore Archetype ? :)

Doesn't it sound like a negative introject ? When I have thoughts like that, I can't help to notice absurdity of it. No one knows what is going to happen, yet sometimes such thoughts are taken as a probable possibility without reasonable or provable grounds for it. At the end there is nothing left, but to laugh at it.

How may things turn for a better future if our feelings and thoughts aren't tuned toward it here and now ?
Positivity isn't a belief, it's a choice !
Shall we live miserably because the world seems too crazy, or shall we stand up and find a way to help ?
What is worth it: to say yes or to say no ? No hope, no future, nothing... As Miss.K wrote, you may go as deep as possible into this "no". And when you are at the bottom, not able to rely on anything, you may eventually discover a consciousness without mental, where there is nothing to fear and everything to be.
A true warrior doesn't hesitate, he has chosen to win, without caring for the consequences.
Our concern isn't what will be, it is what we are...
Let's be the change we want to see !

I was labeled so at work once

The pessimistic method can provide some laughing(in a loving, not a degrading way) at myself as well, and that increases positive feeling immediately,
sometimes the negative feelings just grow when I try to tell them that it won't help to freak out, -of cause it only works if the fears calm down after having been allowed to speak

Put this way it reminds me of V torturing Evey to set her free from her fears :v:
