Israel-Palestine War: Hamas Breaks Out of Gaza, Israel Responds With Genocide

They cannot cover the sun with a finger in their illusions that there is no genocide, there is some (divine?) justice here.

ICC prosecutor seeks arrest warrants for Israeli and Hamas leaders, including Netanyahu

Gallant and Netanyahu face war crimes and crimes against humanity charges over the starvation of civilians as a method of warfare; wilfully causing great suffering; wilful killing; intentional attacks on a civilian population and extermination, alongside several other charges.

Thank you for sharing!

EU should be in coordination with ICC, so imposing sanctions on Israel would be right step.

Andrei Martyinov has said that the ICC is a toothless tiger well past their sell-by date.
The only reason why this long drawn out process took place at all was just to give the impression that they were necessary and still viable. The US and Russia are not members. Who is going to arrest them?

Trump is presidential candidate from the Republican party, so I would like to hear his stance on Israel, because Republicans are threatening ICC with sanctions, and because I have no doubt that Democrats together with Zionists are committing genocide in Gaza, under the guise of "Hamas must be defeated".
[...]
We stand with Israel to take out Sinwar and the rest of the butchers of Hamas,” Biden said on Monday. “We want Hamas defeated. We’ve worked with Israel to make that happen.”

Today's big news is the ICC arrest warrant. Although its potency is watered down somewhat because it's been issued for both Netanyahu, Gallant and Hamas leaders, this still took courage to do.

Check out the ICC prosecutor's statement in an interview about it:

..."a senior leader" told him the ICC "is built for Africa and for thugs like Putin", and not for the West and its allies.
If I had to wrap up geopolitics, imperialism, Western-centrism, and Zionist exceptionalism in one quote, the above would suffice.

I'd add one more thing on that, in this interview, this quote, minute 17:31 on the video below:

The interviewer, Christiane Amanpour, asked him specifically about a letter from a group of U.S. lawmakers warning the prosecutor not to target Israel or he will be targeting himself and his family members with sanctions. "you've been warned - is that a threat?".

Until the agenda moved forward. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said that his country's cabinet would recognise an independent Palestinian state on Tuesday.

Spain, Ireland and Norway recognise Palestinian state

Other countries are expected to follow suit in the coming weeks, says Irish prime minister

Spain, Ireland and Norway recognise the state of Palestine, the three countries said on Wednesday.

"Today, Ireland, Norway and Spain are announcing that we recognise the state of Palestine," Irish Prime Minister Simon Harris said at a news conference.
Harris added that other countries are expected to join the trio in the coming weeks.

"Each of us will now undertake whatever national steps are necessary to give effect to that decision."

Several other European countries have in the past weeks indicated that they plan to recognize a Palestinian state, arguing a two-state solution is essential for lasting peace in the region.

Hussein al-Sheikh, the secretary general of the executive committee of the Palestinian Liberation Organisation (PLO), has praised the "historical moments in which the free world triumphs for truth and justice after long decades of Palestinian national struggle, suffering, pain, occupation, racism, murder, oppression, abuse and destruction to which the people of Palestine were subjected".

His comments come as Spain, Ireland and Norway announced that they will recognise Palestinian statehood.

“We thank the countries of the world that have recognised and will recognise the independent state of Palestine,” al-Sheikh added.

Today, the Government announces it will formally recognise the State of Palestine on May 28th.

It could be said that this is another stone in the shoe for the Israeli ultra-right-wing and that Sanchez is somehow taking what he can personally in his revenge against “pegasus”. Here are some excerpts from Pedro Sanchez's Speech to the congress on Wednesday:
Sanchez said that his government rejected “the massacre in Gaza and the rest of the Palestinian territories”, calling for an end to the fighting and a two-state solution.“Prime Minister Netanyahu is still turning a blind eye and bombing hospitals, schools, homes,” said Sanchez. “He is still using hunger, cold and terror to punish more than a million innocent boys and girls – and things have gone so far that prosecutors at the International Criminal Court have this week sought his arrest for war crimes.”Netanyahu had “no peace plan for Palestine”,.
In other comments, he said:

  • Those countries that defend human rights and rule-based international law are obliged to act – in Ukraine and in Palestine – without double standards
  • We’re obliged to do what we can: sending humanitarian aid, as we are; helping refugees and displaced people, as we are
  • We also have to use all the political resources at our disposal to say, loud and clear, that we’re not going to allow the possibility of the two-state solution to be destroyed by force because it’s the only just and sustainable solution to this terrible conflict
  • That is why I wish to inform you that after discussing the decision with the two parties that make up this progressive coalition government – and in keeping with the feelings of the majority of the Spanish people – Spain’s cabinet will approve the recognition of the Palestinian state on Tuesday 28 May

Israel calls the Norwegian and Irish ambassadors for consultations

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz insulted the Norwegians and the Irish and threatened both countries and Spain:
The Irish-Norwegian madness does not stop us [...]. I am sending a clear and unequivocal message to Ireland and Norway: Israel will not remain silent in the face of those who undermine its sovereignty and endanger its security [...]. Similar action will be taken against Spain if it follows through on its intention to recognize the State of Palestine.

Norway's foreign minister says that “if there is an arrest warrant for Netanyahu and Gallant from the Hague Court, we will have to arrest them if they come to Norway.”

That recognition by Ireland, Norway and Spain felt weird when it was announced, not sure where it comes from, particularly because it's not like there has been a lot of pressure on those countries, like it has been seen in the US for instance.

Also, Helsinki University just cut ties with students from Israel, so there's that also. And Colombia, which has been a pioneer in this situation, just announced that it would be opening an embassy in Ramala, so we'll see where this all lands, it has definitely been an interesting week for sure.

Trump is presidential candidate from the Republican party, so I would like to hear his stance on Israel, because Republicans are threatening ICC with sanctions, and because I have no doubt that Democrats together with Zionists are committing genocide in Gaza, under the guise of "Hamas must be defeated".
Is this a confession that the US committing war crimes not just in Gaza but all over the world? This means that all US politicians have blood on their hands.

This is good news, whether Bibi and EU obey it or not... it is a great achievement.

Top UN court orders Israel to halt military offensive in Rafah, though Israel is unlikely to comply

THE HAGUE, Netherlands (AP) — The United Nations’ top court ordered Israel on Friday to immediately halt its military offensive in the southern Gaza city of Rafah, but stopped short of ordering a cease-fire for the enclave. Although Israel is unlikely to comply with the order, it will ratchet up the pressure on the increasingly isolated country.

Criticism of Israel’s conduct in the war in Gaza has been growing, particularly since it turned its focus to Rafah. This week alone, three European countries announced they would recognize a Palestinian state, and the chief prosecutor for another international court requested arrest warrants for Israeli leaders, along with Hamas officials.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is also under some pressure at home to end the war, which was triggered when Hamas-led militants stormed into Israel, killing 1,200 people, most civilians, and taking roughly 250 hostage. Thousands of Israelis have joined weekly demonstrations calling on the government to reach a deal to bring the hostages home, fearing time is running out.

“The charges of genocide brought by South Africa against Israel at the International Court of Justice in the Hague are false, outrageous and morally repugnant,” Netanyahu’s government said in response to the ruling, maintaining its position that the military hasn’t and won’t target civilians.
