Jacob Applebaum Video: NSA Spying details - really scary stuff

Apparently the Applebaum talk was given at the 30th Chaos Communication Congress (30C3) in Hamburg, Germany which was held between December 27th and 30th, 2013. There were more than 8000 participants!

Some of the data mentioned in the talk is available through cryptome.org

_http://cryptome.org/2014/01/appelbaum-der-spiegel.htm The page is copy of an email from Jacob Applebaum with links to articles in Der Spiegel.

Before I found the above page a search for december 2013 where I selected publications from December 30/31 gave me this:

_http://cryptome.org/2013/12/nsa-ant-handys.pdf

_http://cryptome.org/2013/12/nsa-qfire.pdf

But as someone said many of thiese documents are six years old!

It is also interesting that he said repeatedly that they have published that "groundbraking material" in a german newsmagazin called "Der Spiegel".
As it happens I'm from germany and "Der Spiegel" is one of the big propaganda "news" magazins here...

That in itself makes me suspicious.

Yes, and of course the western listeners would not catch that, perhaps associating Der Spiegel with being accepted international truthers who wanted to publish this so called "groundbreaking material".

That is understandable. On the other hand even if Der Spiegel is mainstream and makes mooney it does not in my opinion exclude that they print reasonable articles once in a while, as has happened in the past for major US papers and magazines too.

Perhaps he said it so the participants could find the documents there. Perhaps it was an agreement with Der Spiegel to give them some credit/free advertisement. Perhaps he was proud that he/they managed to get it in the magazine. What I was told by someone who went to the conference was that since it had already been published the same day in a place like. Der Spiegel it meant Applebaum could say what he did, without having to get into much trouble (when returning to the U.S.A.). Sometimes publicity protects.

If the following is reliable he does know what touble is:

Appelbaum is known for representing Wikileaks at the 2010 HOPE conference.[5] He has subsequently been repeatedly targeted by US law enforcement agencies, who obtained a court order for his Twitter account data, detained him 12[6] times at the US border after trips abroad, and seized a laptop and several mobile phones.

Applebaum moved to Berlin a few months ago, feeling it was getting too hot for him in the US. There he claims that his apartment has been subject to several raids, and whoever was behind this deliberately leaving traces to scare him.

Dunno what to think of this whole scenario yet...

Everything proceeds as planned

But why is it so scary? It's just 3D STS technology, still looks silly comparing with 4D STS implants that allow direct thoughts reading/monitoring (incl. total visual and audial channels signals) and influencing/manipulation in 'timeless' fashion.

That's part of the problem: there is no 'evil plan, mwahahaha'

I think people want there to be someone driving this machine because then it's less scary.

Far worse than people directing an evil scheme is Gurdjieff's idea that they're as unconscious as it's possible to become. In this way, we suspect, they 'give themselves over to 4D-STS', which may or may not 'have a plan', we've no way of knowing.

It's easy to allow the wide range of tools provided by technology to overwhelm you. I'm currently trying to understand basic Java coding, and there are moments when I feel like a chimpanzee that's been given an Ikea cabinet to assemble with the 'Original Mandarin Instructions' printed backwards. ;D

Psychopathic people are not capable of effectively using complex tools long term. They make little gangs and fight among themselves. I work hard to avoid giving them credit that doesn't exist. I think 'disclosures' of the kind offered by well meaning people are a way to keep the smoke screens of omnipotence running, if that makes sense.

Hey Gimpy,

I'm currently doing the same thing ( learning and practicing java) with the aim of using it to help sift data from the web and hopefully scholarly articles along with other projects. Seeing all that the ptb do to leverage their hand I figured we could use technology in some form or fashion to aid us in decifering the significant amount of data we uncover.

I agree with what's been stated so far. Yea he paints a pretty grim picture but this may be a tactic to induce self-censorship in away. Unfortunately for them (the ptb) these kinds of things can sometimes have the opposite affect and provide as a shock to someone who realizes that hey they are going to do it either way. If you do nothing at all it's just going to get worst so at this point you really have nothing to lose by searching for truth and sharing with those that sincerely ask. At least that my opinion at the moment.

I agree and some people probably learn from hearing talks like that of Applebaum. Of those who listen some will become scared and conform others will ask questions and seek further. It the person I happened to speak is anything to go by, then some of these girls and guys know the world is very different from what they are told in the news and were told in school.
