I thought that I'd read somewhere that Abe supported the use of ivermectin and that the Japanese government had approved it, but if I search on that now all I find is factcheck articles disputing those claims. That probably means that they did.
They try to lighten it but darken it more. Is this what you mean to have read?:
In Spanish - 2020/5/19 - Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's press conference on the new coronavirus disease (Opening remarks)
As for Remdesivir, authorized as a drug for the treatment of critically ill patients, we have secured the necessary amount for the treatment of the country's critically ill patients and its administration has already begun in medical institutions. As for Avigan, if its effectiveness is confirmed, we also seek to authorize it within this month. In addition, Futhan, Actemra and Ivermectin are all drugs developed in Japan. They have been administered to treat other diseases, therefore, their side effects, etc. are already known, i.e. they have a confirmed safety if prescribed taking into account the contraindications.
Clinical evaluations and investigations are already progressing, and as soon as effectiveness for this infection is confirmed, drug approval will be sought without delay.
Now, that is what the media is referring to that is false and the reason for the false information that Shinzo Abe was assassinated for being against COVID-19 policies, but:
1. That information only appears on the page of the Japanese Embassy in Colombia.
2. On the page of the Japanese Embassy, it is not there, it does not exist.

Additionally, I did not find concrete information on what Shinzo really thought about agreeing or disagreeing on the use of Ivermectin. He was simply reporting on the approved medications to combat the situation in time, according to the text presented. What I do find very vague is to say that Abe was not anti-vaccine just because of this:
Abe signed a communiqué in May 2020 along with the presidents of the European Council, Charles Michel, and the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, in which they advocated that covid vaccines should be available to everyone and be a "common global good."
One thing neither confirms nor disproves the other, they only entertain with the mystery. There is no information on Abe's opinion about Ivermectin, neither positive or negative.
Well, at least openly to the public, nope.
