Javier Milei has been elected president of Argentina: Madman or genius?

Honestly, it disgusts me that they play politics with the dead. On the other hand, I understand that few people here knew who CK was. And I also don't like that people here (see the comments) take his murder so lightly. I didn't know about CK until the events surrounding his death. But I certainly don't mock the dead.

Now, to put it in context:

The President (Milei) put on a show at the Movistar Arena before presenting his book “La construcción del milagro” (The Making of the Miracle).

One clown show after another, from a movement with sectarian characteristics...

Argentine President Javier Milei performed rock songs at Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires on October 6, 2025, during his book launch amid ongoing economic crisis and protests.
No, what you are seeing is not an episode of Black Mirror, nor has it been created with artificial intelligence.

It is a real video of the president of Argentina in the midst of a brutal economic crisis, drug trafficking scandals, and embezzlement.

Retirees who commit suicide because they cannot live with dignity, or doctors who cannot afford to eat.

He is the president of a country with 45 million inhabitants, making a fool of himself with images of Trump, after asking him for a bailout that mortgages the country's future in order to stay in office for a few more months.

He is the president of a nation on the brink of total collapse, singing with the national deputy and a deputy on drums as if celebrating his incompetence in style.

Milei is a living example of the drift of a rotten and unsustainable system that distracts the people as best it can with pitiful shows while everything falls apart.

He is the representation of an abducted and alienated population that cheers on an incompetent and out-of-touch leader, but one who offers distraction so that the collapse is entertaining.

Milei has become what he has always dreamed of: the earthly representation of neoliberalism.

According to Mexican journalist Julio Astillero, the video was produced by the left-wing digital media outlet Spanish Revolution, but it has been echoed in conservative media outlets such as La Razón.

Milei is losing credibility

Critics, including conservatives and members of the establishment, accuse him of being a "puppet" with no real plan, of destroying jobs and production, and of prioritizing media spectacles over structural solutions, which has led to recent electoral defeats such as in the province of Buenos Aires.

Milei's approval rating has declined steadily in 2025 due to the economic crisis, corruption scandals, and controversial reforms. In June, it hovered around 60%, but by September and October, it had fallen below 40-43% in multiple polls.
