Javier Milei has been elected president of Argentina: Madman or genius?

A surprise victory for Javier Milei,

La Libertad Avanza (LLA), President Javier Milei's party, won 40.66% of the vote, consolidating its power in Congress and reversing previous defeats in key districts such as Buenos Aires. This represents a "confirmation of Milei's mandate," according to his own post-election speech, and allows him to move forward with economic reforms with greater legislative support.

Trump's dollars certainly did the job.

At 1:48 a.m. on Monday, 23 minutes after Donald Trump's post congratulating him on his "landslide" victory, Milei responded from his X account to thank him "for trusting the Argentine people."

"You are a great friend of the Argentine Republic. Our nations should never have stopped being allies. Our peoples want to live in freedom. Count on me to fight for Western civilization, which has lifted more than 90% of the world's population out of poverty," said the president.

Trump's dollars certainly did the job.

Years of dollar inflation to damage the economy of a country and generate discomfort in the population, then Trump arrives and if he likes you he fulfills the pantomime of buying you some meat to "disguise" that way he will fight the parallel dollar and then "relieve" the economy. That is, the dollar rises or falls/inflation at convenience and since that is what people want, to see low prices, they sacrifice other things that "Freedom" encompasses and now we have the solution to inflation, to be friends with Trump.

They also talk about that Anti-Peronism played a fundamental role, that is, they don't care that Milei is a crazy person and everything that characterizes him, there is simply a large part of the population that does not want the left to return to Argentina.

There is also a considerable abstention from voting and perhaps something to do with the change in the way of voting:

Argentina registers the lowest participation since the return of democracy in legislative elections: only 66% of the voters

These elections were also the first in which the Single Paper Ballot (BUP) was used, a system aimed at simplifying the voting process and avoiding irregularities, replacing the traditional party ballots.

Javier Milei's party gets strong support in the mid-term elections: "Today the construction of the great Argentina begins"

After months of anxiety - with a defeat in the legislative elections of the province of Buenos Aires on September 7, corruption scandals and an economic crisis for which he had to be helped by Donald Trump - the libertarian leader was able to celebrate this Sunday in Argentina.

With an electoral absenteeism higher than the last two elections of 2023 and 2021, Argentines renewed half of the Chamber of Deputies (127 legislators) and a third of the Upper House (24 senators), but, above all, they gave strong support to the current president.

With almost all of the election counted, La Libertad Avanza, the official party, obtained more than 40% of the votes, with resounding victories in the city of Buenos Aires and the provinces of Córdoba and Santa Fe.

Judicial investigation examines audios that would link Karina Milei with alleged bribery scheme.

The accusations involving Karina Milei and one of her closest collaborators, Eduardo “Lule” Menem, came to justice after the dissemination of a journalistic report that presented audios attributed to a former official. These recordings describe an alleged mechanism for collecting bribes linked to the purchase and provision of medicines, with an estimated premium of 8%, of which 3% would have been referred to the General Secretariat of the Presidency. CNN was not able to independently verify the authenticity of the audios, although their contents are listed in the court file.

The government insists that this is a political operation, but so far they have not given specific answers about the allegations.

The president always introduced his sister as “The Boss". He even went so far as to say that she was Moses, the leader, and he was just a popularizer of his ideas.

There is a channel on YouTube called "El Destape", they show interesting information to analyze. Although they do not seem very objective, surely for an acute mind you can easily deduce the madness that Argentina is experiencing as well.

So apparently the very transparent corruption scandals and failing peso didn't affect Milei at the ballot box, quite the contrary. Any chance of election fraud or was it fair and square?

Yes, there are suspicions of fraud.
Failure in the Electoral Justice reporting system.

The official website for reporting electoral irregularities has been experiencing technical difficulties since this morning, at a key moment in the post-election vote count. The Electoral Justice System has not issued an official statement on the cause or the time frame for resolution. This issue affects citizens' ability to report possible anomalies in a timely manner, according to reports from independent sources. An immediate institutional response is expected to ensure the transparency of the process.

Optimism in Fuerza Patria. It seems that in the final count, they may be able to overturn some results in eight provinces, where serious irregularities have been reported: thousands of polling stations show the Peronist party with zero votes, which does not match the original records. As in Chaco...

JAVIER MILEI, A PSYCHOPATHIC GOLEM

I recommend listening carefully to this sublime and anthological statement by Dr. Antonio Caponnetto about Javier Milei. In particular, those who clumsily attempt to reconcile the Catholic faith with the idolatry of the new golden calf should pay close attention:

"Gentlemen, we are governed by a golem, turned into a fable and a docile tool of the genocidal plans of the State of Israel; by a psychopath and sociopath who squanders public funds [...], placing himself, with delusional rhetoric, in the role of messiah [...]. We are governed by a serial denier of the common good, of the nation state, and of distributive justice; by someone who renewed the memorandum of understanding with the United Kingdom, expressing his admiration for those who invaded our Malvinas with blood and fire [...]".

A 16-year-old was arrested in Caballito (CABA) who was planning a massacre at his school by entering disguised as a police officer. The weapons had Nazi symbols and the surnames of the classmates he planned to kill written on them. We are officially the United States.

“They said all kinds of outrageous things... That during our administration, kids were going to stage shootings in schools.”

Two days passed after this.

Elections: Why did Argentines support Milei in the legislative elections?

Despite the cuts in pensions, health, education and public works, many voters prioritized inflationary control and the commitment to change in the face of the opposition, which was perceived as weak and without concrete proposals.

The turnout was 67%, the lowest since 1983 in a country with compulsory voting.

In addition, international aid conditional on Milei's electoral success and the assistance of the United States helped to mitigate the pressure on the dollar and strengthen confidence in the government's economic management.

Finally, despite mistakes and social tensions, the electorate considered that continuing with Milei was preferable to known alternatives, betting on a process of change that still requires adjustments.

The testimonies of the people who said they voted for Milei, despite recognizing that they were better off with previous governments, even they do not know why they voted for Milei again. They do not express on the basis why they decided to vote for Milei again. Automatic voters, they vote and they don't know why they do it.

It strikes me a lot because it seems to me that kind of absurd mentality that says "we have to support progress, stop living in the past" but they don't know their past objectively, and therefore they don't even know how to point to what that "future" would be like that they talk about beyond "equality, making ends meet and buying everything I want". Thoughts that are only subject to immediate pleasure, that reflects absolutely nothing that has to do with the "collective building" of a country for the well-being of all and on the contrary.

This is like voting for a guy who, among his bad decisions, affects my life as little as possible and the one who can't with his life, well, that's life, lucky and less fortunate.

They don't know because they have a past built on rubble and they don't know how to use any tools to build anything new on what they step on under the pseudo labels of "Freedom, progress and living with dignity".

The news is crammed into centralized information like the one above, some alternative programs show a little more. I hope Milei's #1 fan on the Sott team ( 🤌 ) can enlighten us a lot more about it about this kind of thinking that's not much different in my neighborhood and that's why the interesting thing because this is definitely like a hive mind.

And the recycled mentality of the left certainly didn't help anything either, more of the same. After losing elections, they are always the most thoughtful and self-critical in the world but in actions, the same old contradiction, everything half-baked and using the thumb to cover the sun in case the light rays that seep in might start to burn the straw in their "Pants".

A retiree commented on the electoral victory of La Libertad Avanza, called it a “disaster” and listed the sectors that are being harmed by the economic policies of the government of Javier Milei.

In addition, he said that he earns the minimum and when asked about how he can live with that income, he said: "I deprive myself of everything."

I have listened to Argentine programs and they talk a lot about people's debt with their credit cards in order to survive. Selling your cell phone to buy food, buy medicine or buy groceries, etc.

Those who decided to vote for Milei, even recognizing that they were better off in previous governments, possibly did not have such a low need as others to give little importance to their vote, as I commented earlier, "if it doesn't affect me much, I don't see it."

The situation with these miserable parallel dollars it seems that the strategy is to drown people as much as possible and in the process convince them in the illusion that the dollar is better than their own local currencies and that they want it so much by painting them an uncertain future but a "quick solution" that that is the only thing they think about, quickly get out of the problem of not having enough income no matter who governs as long as they solve that issue but leaving aside their own rights and real freedom because what is the point of having enough income if the cost of living is high? we would continue in the same, without ever being able to achieve what is necessary to subsist "worthily", as they say and as always, it is never for everyone.

It's a complex phenomenon to explain what's happening with people in Argentina.

It's true that the discontent is real. And that many people identify with Peronism. However, as I mentioned in previous posts, Peronism has strayed from its principles and been infiltrated by social democratic progressivism (a.k.a. woke). And that generates rejection.

But leaving that aside for the moment, when you start to look at Milei's voters, their backgrounds, and how they think, you see that it's not about social class.

Excuse me for what I'm about to say, but this is how I see it: They are truly mentally retarded. Literally. I don't mean that in a derogatory way; I say it as an objective observation.

And it's not just that these are people with mental health issues. It's people who somehow see a sense of belonging in the government, and in Milei a "leader" who understands them. And Milei also has his share of mental health problems.

But be careful, this isn't about pure ideology. Because these same people would wholeheartedly embrace the opposite extreme if they could also find that same sense of belonging.

What we're seeing is that there are many broken people who have somehow climbed to positions of power. It's not just the power-hungry psychopath. It's the worst example of the socially resentful person who can't manage their emotions and thought processes. You can be angry about certain circumstances and see that things aren't fair, but it's not a matter of taking out all your anger on others.

And if you add to this the prevailing nihilism and materialism, you have this explosive cocktail of people without self-control.

Look at my last post here. A 16-year-old was about to commit a tragedy, and the comparison was: We've become like the United States.
And in the United States, we see it: broken people, resentful of life, and believing narratives that have nothing to do with reality.
