Javier Milei has been elected president of Argentina

Some people seem to be sharing it as if it's a good thing. Gee, the guy called Argentina an interesting experiment (and guess who the lab rats are?), and Milei "on the spectrum", i.e. autistic. While Musk and people like Drukenmiller promote investments there, they are practically saying point blank that they don't give a damn about the country, they just care about the bucks they'll get. And they take Milei as a joke, because... well, that' kind of what he is.

Some people seem to be sharing it as if it's a good thing.

Exactly. Many did not understand that he was referring to Milei as an autistic. And here it becomes evident that Argentina has been a social and economic laboratory for many years (a curse, a karma I would say. -I am tempted to ask the C's: Argentina. Why?-)

Now in this there is an interesting twist, something to consider, when I saw the video. These investors even in their apparent lack of logic why they take risks, being that they are labeled as sharks, wolves of wall street, etc. That here they are labeled as predators (yes, you guessed it, the essence of the psychopath) are the ones, in their rampant utilitarianism that have in this specific situation, the ability to evaluate who is in touch with reality and who is not. In their diabolical minds: Hey look! A loony. Easy prey.

Well, I would say to that, that it hasn't been the only one. Basically any country that was invaded, terrorized, victim of a CIA backed up coup / dictatorship, exploited for economical reasons, bombed, target of color revolutions, paranormal events, UFO hotspots... you name it, has been a social and economic laboratory. And the list of those countries is VERY long. So, Argentina is not "special". Things go in cycles, it seems, some countries suffering more than others, then switching around, etc. What is perhaps more prominent there is the zionist connection, but there again, it's not really the only one. The answer to your question is therefore probably multi-fascetic. From just "because", to specific karmic lessons related to the place and its ressources, to 4D interference, etc., etc., etc.

So, we just have to watch, wait and see.

Nah, I'm not saying it's special. It's in the specific case of the economic and social, Argentina would be more like the weirdo in the class room. So I don't think that makes it look special. I admit that we Argentines certainly have a form of chauvinism, which is contradictory in itself. On the one hand you exalt the achievements (inventions, novel prizes, world championships) but at the same time you will hear that the country sucks. And in the latter, I believe, lies the incidence of the experiment. A country with many circumstances in its favor but that in the minds of its inhabitants is drawn as if it were a swamp. If that is not programming, I don't know what is. (Ok, here I think I answered the question without resorting to the C's).

So what happens is that here you have these phenomena, and somehow you end up being the focus of attention, where the rest of the world just stares at you scratching their heads, because somehow for the foreign analyst the country seems to be going out of some conventions and going in the opposite direction. Nothing to feel special about. The 2001 crisis was proof of that. But of course, as I had already explained in this thread when I talked about Peronism, the political and economic history of the country, although in general terms, there was already evidence of the difference in the paths taken. Even before the Zionists said: Patagonia? I want it!

Which even makes us Argentines scratch our own heads!

If you are surfing twitter, and you come across some Argentinean topic where foreigners give their opinion while being shocked by things that are actually quite mundane and even obvious, we Argentines coin the following phrase, as a way of laughing at ourselves: Argentina. You wouldn't understand.

Anecdotal commentary and a bit offtopic. I remember a foreigner talking about how great it is to have pharmacies here in the country that do on-call shifts in case you need any medication, so you can be covered 24 hours a day.

I mean, can't people have accidents or any complication at the least expected moment? In other countries, you need a medicine more or less urgently and you can't get it because the pharmacy is closed and now you are out of luck? That is the subtle difference between thinking of others and thinking only of oneself.

I saw one post on X with a lot of replies and they were all saying how great Milei is and what a wonderful thing he is doing, and some were Argentinians. Others were saying how they wished their country would do the same as Milei was doing.

All I could think of is where is Bluegazer when I need him?

Ok, there is an explanation. Many of these comments and expressions can be divided into the following factors: Ignorant of the Argentine reality (and of geopolitics in general), trolls/bots.

It is already known here that Milei's government did not spare in using bots and other influencers for its campaign and now to draw a false reality and damage control. It is clear that those who fall for his deceitful discourse are the citizens who are angry with everything (politicians, economy, etc.) and those who live relatively well (still) and only care about themselves. Also add the one who has a vehement hatred against everything that seems leftist, communist, socialist, progressive, woke.... people who pretend to destroy an anthill with a nuclear weapon... and who also make projection, boasting of being Nationalist-Conservatives... with a lot of skeletons in their closet.

So between these things and the fact that the Argentinean, as I mentioned in the last post, is quite contradictory, makes anyone suddenly find themselves transported to wonderland.

And I would like to add that a new phenomenon is taking place in the social aspect. This would have started since Argentina won the World Cup, with the Washington Post article:

A biased and cherry picked article, which was not only highly criticized by Argentines, but also disproved by the true history of Argentina.

However, the tendency since then to criticize the country for its racism has come in waves. An almost non-existent racism. Here classism predominates, not racism.

What is going on? That from time to time tourists (mostly from the U.S.) of African origin appear. And they don't take long to talk nonsense. You only have to read the comments and find out the disgust that provokes so many fallacies.

This one says we have a fetish for black women here. And no, there is no lack of flavor in the food here, it's not our fault that your palate is destroyed by too many doritos and mountain dew.

"Mexican-American" (pfffff ha ha ha ha)

What can I say that we don't already know?

The evidence is clear.

The one from ElCanciller is hilarious. She's angry because nobody could tell her they had African genes. Well, because they don't! It's not their fault, it's just the country's history. And then, she says that following that "racist" logic, Argentina shouldn't have white people because it never invaded Europe. That one is of such an amazing logic, that... well, no comments.

This video alone deserves its own thread. And here I agree with Dugin. I mean, liberalism would have neither its critics nor its detractors if it were not that it is failing miserably.

It makes me wonder what metaphysics Mr. Leon Wieseltier studied... when he puts liberalism/democracy as the supreme thing, I think he makes the well known mistake of 'this is the only truth' and we know that there is neither a single truth nor a single path, that reality is composed of many truths.

Sorry for the offtopic.
I'm replying to you here Bluegazer, even if it may be a bit off-topic.

Leon wieseltier must belong to the same elitist clique of moralist and virtuous intellectuals as B.H Lévy in France.

And speaking of France, I don't need a crystal ball to predict, with an assumed margin of error, that at this rate of macronisation of France at all levels, in a few years' time the French have a cock-a-doodle-doo a la manera de los Argentinians under the lumberjack with a tie aka Milei.

After Russia confirmed the discovery of a gigantic oil reserve in the Argentine Antarctic Sector, Biden published this Friday a "National Security Memorandum" on the white continent. It states that: The U.S. claims to be the controlling power in Antarctica; The US ignores any sovereign claim of other countries (including Argentina); It orders the expansion of the icebreaker fleet in order to "guarantee peace in the region".

These are Milei's friends, they are already preparing the assault on our Antarctic territory to steal its resources.

The management of Argentina's diplomacy with Spain is described as a “disaster”. This was analyzed by Damián Antunez, professor at the UNRC, who added that the President's statements -who described the Spanish President's wife as corrupt- are in line with the context in which they were made, which was a summit of right-wing groups.

Pablo Wehbe, specialist in International Politics at the UNRC, considered that Milei's government has no foreign policy.

The professor indicated that Milei wants to position himself personally as a referent of the Right at international level and assured that not even the ultra-right-wing Vox of Spain has the position of the Argentine president.

The third day of police protest in Misiones raised the level of tension from the early hours of this Sunday. The Federal Forces that had formed a barricade in front of the Radioelectric Command were overwhelmed by the arrival of demonstrators and there were scuffles and pushing and shoving.

In the last hours, teachers and health personnel have joined the protest for a salary increase for both active and retired police officers. While trying to reach an economic agreement, tension persists in the streets.

For several minutes there was running, pushing and shoving, scuffles and also burning of tires on Uruguay Avenue and Trincheras de San José, in the heart of downtown Posadas. The federal personnel had to retreat in order not to lose their position and, at times, the clashes flared up again.

After the beginning of the protest on Friday, the National Government set up a Crisis Committee commanded by the Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrich.

Personnel from Prefecture, Gendarmerie and Federal Police arrived there. And this human cordon made up of federal forces tried to prevent the protest from overflowing. A meeting between some of the leaders of the protest and the Chief of the local Police was called at the headquarters of the Radio Electric Command, with the aim of channeling the dialogue.

The truth is that tension is growing in the police demonstration in Posadas. In the midst of the negotiation taking place behind closed doors, the version of a possible eviction of the federal forces against the protest is flying around.

The police protest in Misiones has reached the fourth day of protests and will continue after the failure of negotiations. “Something very serious is coming,” said Ramón Amarilla, spokesman for the protesters.

“The proposal that the government has brought us is derisory, they have not improved anything and there was no agreement. There will be no agreement because there is no political will to resolve this,” he explained.

The protests of the security forces were joined by teachers and health workers. Meanwhile, this Monday the talks to reach an agreement on the salary improvement continue.

“Here something very serious is coming, all sectors are demanding and we are no exception. It is a shame what they came to offer us, it is not even close to what a policeman needs to pass the poverty line", Amarilla continued.

Now I say this on the basis of rumors and analysis... but there is talk of the dissolution of the country.

Claudio Lozano, president of Unidad Popular at the national level, expressed his opinion on foreign policy and Laura Richardson's visit.

For Lozano, “the handing over of 166. 000 square kilometers more of the Southern Sea to the United Kingdom and NATO, the decision to cede to Montevideo the possibility of being the only way out to the Atlantic from the Paraná trunk road, the decision to cede to the United States the control of the wrongly named Hidrovía and the recent, canallesque and clownish attitude of receiving General Laura Richardson in Tierra del Fuego to develop the Integrated Naval Base with the United States, are the keys that express the government's decision to advance in a process of national dissolution. Unlike fascism or neo-Nazism in Europe, where authoritarianism is associated with the vindication of the national question and the strengthening of the State, Milei's anarcho component refers to national dissolution and the definitive fragmentation of Argentina.

To fragment Argentina to the extreme in order to consolidate extractivist paradises with lithium in the north, soybeans in the center, hydrocarbons in the South and mega-mining in the Andes Mountains and the definitive renunciation of our country to any kind of interference over Malvinas, the South Atlantic and the Antarctic continent, is the imperial desire that Milei intends to materialize.

No dialogue is possible with this orientation.

We are in the midst of a resource war, and for the control of humanity by those we already know who. Time is running out and they know it.

I myself came to think that I was exaggerating, that I was becoming somewhat paranoid. But as I said before... I felt it in my bones.

I also wonder if what we see is nothing more than a reflection of reality based on my own experiences, prejudices, blind spots... but I'm not even sure about that.

Do you see what I see? Or am I wrong? Is it pessimism on my part, or am I really seeing things as they are?

I see it too. It's the kind of plundering of national economies that have fallen prey to the IMF and BIS loan schemes. Anything of worth is being given over to western military, banking, and corporate interests while reducing most of the population to serfs in the name of "austerity", and no other options of redress of those debts are being considered at all. Argentina is being hollowed out.

Soon, you'll see leaflets dropped from airplanes over the cities showing citizens the way to the Darien Gap. At least they'll get some Soros pocket money and a free cell phone. I'm not even trying to be funny, because I'm almost afraid that's the next step.

I think you are seeing it pretty much as it is, BUT... that you are focusing too much on it, on Argentina and Milei, instead of staking a step back, and expanding your area of "observation". The consequence is that you miss some patterns, and it becomes "personal". That can be the part that becomes "paranoid", too negative, or too nitpicky towards others, like you were here.

I think it would help if you spend only a portion of the day checking out the Argentinian news, and another expanding on other areas. What is being done in Argentina is nothing new, unfortunately. It doesn't make it better by any means, but when you put it into perspective, you can avoid being so stressed about it, and adopt more of an observer's role.

I would recommend watching John Pilger's documentaries. He was great at showing people how the West was destroying other nations. Check out these, for example:

It helps to remember that it's not just people in power doing "stuff" to other countries and their populations. People themselves are choosing at a certain level, and it's all part of a learning process.

I also wonder if what we see is nothing more than a reflection of reality based on my own experiences, prejudices, blind spots... but I'm not even sure about that.

As far as I can tell, that is always the case to an extent or another. So yes, it's something to watch out for, for all of us. And that's why expanding to other territories and subjects helps, I think. As a funny caricature of that, see how issues that are so prevalent for people in the West (and lead to mutilation of bodies, pathological measures, child abuse and much more) are seen in other places:
