I think the answer to that is that there are varying degrees of aligning with the beneficent faces of God. Sometimes it’s not a particularly difficult thing to do.
But then sometimes, it may be something that seems impossible, and every atom of our ‘Flesh’ will fight against it. Under those circumstances, that’s where the ‘faith of Christ’ is needed, so that we can remember that “we are not our bodies” and to “be true to ourselves and fear nothing”.
