Laura and Ark at Barcelona Conference, October 15, 2011

I have extra hhonors points (valid in any Hilton hotel or subsidiary like doubletree), so if anyone is going but hasn't booked it yet, and with the mods' permission, I can make a reservation for someone and it will be free, just costs points. I have 350,000 points and a night at a Hilton hotel will cost like 50,000 or so, so it's enough for a few nights for a few people. I am not able to go but apparently I can use my points for other people. And that's assuming there are tickets left right now!
 
I won't attend in persona either, but would like to do so virtually. I didn't find it said by you somewhere, but I suppose, you are going to make a DVD of this event and sell it later. Or will the conference being transmitted via life stream?

It was discussed whether it would be recorded and sold as DVD (or DVD collection …). But a live stream? Does anyone know exact details what will happen in this respect?

I think the DVD would constitute a fabulous solution for those members staying at home.

I think you're making a very generous offer SAO! Though I hesitate to take you up on it, because I hardly know you and feel it is a bit inappropriate to accept such a generous offer from a sort of stranger...

It's not out for sure, just no longer a certain part of the plan - I'd guess due to the present circumstances for Laura and team.

Yeah, I can imagine those circumstances throwing a monkey wrench into plans. I wish you all the best dealing with all of that. Thanks for being you and doing what you do!

Now it is fixed. I can't go to the conference.
I hope there will be a DVD available to buy afterwards.
I allready bought my ticket weeks ago. Is it possible to give it to someone who can't afford the conference fee?
 
UPs, I would gladly take your ticket if you can't get a refund. I'm in a bit of a situation economically where I won't receive my student fundings until the end of the month.
Also, SAO, I agree with Mechanic that it feels inappropriate because it's a very generous offer coming from a stranger, and maybe you'll need them yourself someday? But I do need a place to stay so if anyone is willing to share a room or anything else please let me know!
 
I've also not found any accommodation yet, and I'll be staying in Barcelona until Monday, probably in a hostel, hotels really are expensive. I just thought, that people who are staying longer could maybe meet up anyway? But I'm not sure, if that's a good idea... I can understand that because of the circumstances there won't be an EE session, which is a shame, but we need to stay strong and patient.

Echo, I spoke with the organizer of the conference and yes it is possible to change the name on the ticket. :)
And when we get the mods' permission, I would need your name and e-mail adress to give it to the organizer. He would contact you directly then.

Thanks for pointing it out, Sirius. Did you mean this thread? I only found thoughts about it assembled here, therefore I also searched for anything mentioned regarding an already fixed solution like a DVD (or something similar) for those who can't attend besides this thread, but didn't find any. Maybe it is discussed in the non-public FOTCM forum, that I cannot access as I am not a member of FOTCM...

I wholeheartedly agree! A life stream which would also take extra amounts of effort to organize and maintain during the event won't be necessary then. And DVDs can be re-watched, while a life stream can not!

Well, I suppose, as far as I got to know the Chateau Team over time I spent with SOTT and the forum, they are thinking about something like this. ;)

I planned to stay in Barcelona on Sunday for the EE class so I'm free on Sunday for any activities approved by Laura & team. I say "approved" because I know that this forum discourages meetings among members outside the forum as to avoid situations of attack and feeding (my own words here, may not be the best ones).

I also want to say to the EE team that, although it would be really great to have the EE class on Sunday, it is absolutely understandable if this is not possible due to the current circumstances surrounding Laura & team. On the contrary, please let us know if we can help you on Sunday in someway! Maybe we can have a forum members taskforce! :D
