I also want to say to the EE team that, although it would be really great to have the EE class on Sunday, it is absolutely understandable if this is not possible due to the current circumstances surrounding Laura & team. On the contrary, please let us know if we can help you on Sunday in someway! Maybe we can have a forum members taskforce! :D

I agree completely :D

@Learner

Actually, it was shortly mentioned quite at the beginning (see the first two posts!):

I so wish I could go

Please tell me that the sessions are going to be videotaped and available on DVD.....

Who's going?
Perceval said:
Lots of forum members are going. Until now we have kept it private, for various reasons, on the FOTCM members area, but since we've now announced it on Sott etc, there's no reason not to start a thread on the open forum for all other forum members interested in attending.

The conference will most likely be video taped, although at this stage, we can't say whether or not the video will be made public. We would like to see as many forum members as possible attend though.

Courageous Inmate Sort, I am aware of that fact, it was just a thought, anyway, I like the idea of the taskforce :)

Hi Sirius, I missed what Perceval exactly said in the beginning of this thread. I blamed it on my method of forum searching - but I simply overlooked, what was in front of my eyes. Thank you for taking the extra time pointing out to me, what has been discussed where. Good to know, it will be video-taped (though things do not seem to be exactly fixed to release a DVD of it yet - and if a DVD won't be released, there might be understandable reasons for that, I think).

Good morning to everyone from Germany.
I have booked my flight to Barcelona early September that will depart on coming wednesday morning, and a ticket for the conference
has been reserved too. I'm looking forward to see Laura & Ark very much.
But unfortunately they say in the news on TV that the German air travel controllers are about to strike the next week, starting in the night as from Tuesday to
Wednesday - right when I want to fly to Barcelona...
:(
I have a feeling that some powers intent to keep us from attending the conference....
Very strange indeed.
Hopefully it won't be as dramatic as I'm feeling now. Holding my thumbs!

Regards

it seems like there could be a strike on Wednesday but only for several hours, so hopefully they won't strike on the following days..

Yes …

What's more, there are in addition some strikes concerning train travelling in France currently. It doesn't appear to be long-term though.

Some people from Europe (e.g. Germans) who intent to go by train should also keep attention to such incidents because they might have to pass France, especially Paris.

I have a feeling that some powers intent to keep us from attending the conference....
Whatever they believe they could to achieve, except some increase in misery and disruption of people's plans. “Maintaining their evil garden” if you wish, i.e. some kind of satisfaction, presumably.

Jailbird, you are new here BTW?

Yes, that was Jailbird's first post. :)

Hi Jailbird,

I'd like to encourage you to post an intro in the newbies section of the forum. It doesn't have to be long, just a little something about yourself and how you found the forum. :)

Hello echo, I will send an email to the sott crew and ask them to help us with this issue.
I can not send pms and emails through the forum. Besides it is not recommened.
I am glad that I could help you! :)

During the days I’ll stay in Barcelona after the conference, Sunday and Monday, I plan to be wandering through the work of Gaudi as much as I can, with a small sketchbook in my bag to take a few notes. Seeing Gaudi’s work is a dream I had since childhood.
If ever others of you had a plan of about that kind, I would be glad if we wandered together.
(Unfortunately I don’t speak Spanish though, only French/German/English)

Thank you,
Danse la vie

Hi truth seeker, hi Sirius,

Yes you are right. That was my first post.
I know I am being very impolite. A newbie like me should introduce himself after knocking at the door and before entering the living-room of somebody's house. Hope you don't mind.
Please accept my apologies. :-[ :/

I will post an introduction as soon as possible - I promise!
Unfortunately I have limited access to the internet.

I am in the process of packing my bags for the trip to Barcelona and I am already very excited!
Surely it's going to be a great event!

See you in Barcelona!!!!

With kind regards,
Jailbird

Cassiopeans said that time doesn't exist as whe think. Here there is a film that is an introduction to Barcelona city. Now things are a little bit different, others remain the same.
I hope you enjoy.

Barcelona by tram.
