My thanks also for the excellent conference! I remember Laura mentioning somewhere (in the wave I think) that she is not particularly fond of public speaking. From the audience point of view however she was a natural and completely at ease: the presentation was sharp, witty and difficult concepts were expressed in a very understandable manner.

Also meeting forum members on sunday was a great experience. Being a newbie and on the shy side when it comes to social situations, I was quite nervous beforehand, but it was simply amazing to see the empathic and kind way a newcomer was welcomed.
Thank you all! :)

It was great to meet you out there Hiker. Feel free to network and contribute/participate here on the forum as well, you will see here your nervousness will also diminish over time :)

Yes it was nice to meet you Hiker!

I will quote what was said to me when I started off in this forum and offer it to you too:

Well thank you very much! I was pretty sure I did not warrant my own intro page.
But hey! Maybe it is time for me to start networking! There is a lot of work to do, and it seems time is short. :D

Yes, networking is the key. You will find that there are many here that will help you on your journey. :)

Welcome aboard!

:boat:

Thank you Jefferson and Breton! I will up my participation on the forum :)

I also enjoyed meeting you hiker. It was great that you took the initiative, hearing me and Breton using a familiar language. I hope that you plunge in and participate more on the forum, too. Networking is essential for growth and learning.

The conference was great! However, I'm a bit upset that I missed a chance to participate in EE session - I thought the idea was cancelled some time before Saturday and I didn't hear any hints for a new session.

Anyway, huge thanks to Laura and Ark. They did a great job and changed my approach towards some things. For example, I did eat couple of veal "steaks" during the weekend though I had been a vegetarian for the last couple of years. And it was good :)

We did it spontaneously without a plan ahead of time because we had no place reserved to do it in.

Keep in mind also that when we did it, we were (about) 21 people in one apartment and it was pretty much bursting anyways, and we did not exactly do it under optimum conditions.

Thank you Aragorn. I took you guys as native English speakers until I heard a familiar word in my native language and realised that there's a few fellow countrymen sitting right in front of me. It's crazy, but I have to admit that for a moment I thought of remaining incognito . Some serious shyness programs in work right there. I realised however that to not introduce myself in that situation would not only be rude, but also working "against the universe". I'm glad I stepped up to the plate!

Time surely flies... But the impressions are still fresh and strong!

I hate being so late :-[ in giving due thanks to everybody involved in organising this fascinating event and beyond! (Sure, I had plenty of unfinished work and obligations awaiting me back home, but its programing that's making it irrationaly hard and long to leave feedback..) Muchas Gracias Everyone!! The whole experience has been like a visit to most positive corner of this 3rd density ;D populated with bunch of pleasant, relaxed and knowleadgable people. You could sense the force of colinearity at work! ..Especially during smoking breaks :cool2:
Also, as mentioned, Laura and Ark have amazing ability to convey their material and research with ease in a down to earth way... a real pleasure to watch and listen to them   No doubt, video of the conference will be greatly appreciated by all.

I can relate with that, Hiker. I was also quite nervous and had to push myself to interaction, (and I'm very glad I did too) and was met with the same empathic and encouraging approach you described. I'm not sure we met in person, but it seems there was always at least one newbie present somewhere ;) ..

I tried not to have any excpectations about the whole thing, and for the most part I think I was succesfull with that. However I had prepared myself to be met with some kind of hermetic barrier (measures for the sake of protection of forum/fellowship members) and especially in the light of many defamatory actions against whole crew that would be perfectly understandable too.

However, despite being unknown to anyone, during smoking breaks I asked around about possibility of Sunday EE session and got myself invited to Para.lel HQ  on Sunday, from where the spontaneous talking and hanging around extended into group walk, lunch, and out-of-the-blue EE session! In the end there's no way I could of anticipated any of this, so good thing I didn't :). It's true what's been said, sincerity and non-anticipation will take you places!..also networking seems to play a vital role in that direction..

Anyhow, It's been amazing hanging with you guys! and thanks again for your hospitality – felt just like home!
I'll do my best in stepping up my participation here and would very much like to attend some future meetings, also!

All best,
Roman

Hello to everyone I met at the conference and special thanks to Laura, Ark and an amazing team for organizing!

Of course it was all great and I took copious notes but I was personally very excited about the lecture on "Junk DNA" that Laura presented. This happened to be the precise topic that brought me to the C's transcripts in the first place! I remember having a conversation with my husband about it and the two of us agreed that it just didn't make biological sense. Healthy biological systems are so beautifully and intricately coordinated with everything having a purpose that it just didn't seem right that there would be all this useless DNA. We were sure that it just was not understood yet. Well, later that night I typed in a search for DNA activation and ended up linking to the transcripts. It's an understatement to say that a lot of dots have been connected since.

Thank you for an amazing body of work. I look forward to your new research and hope to contribute through my participation here :)

Hi iagainsti. I don’t think we met, but it is nice to hear that there was another newbie around and that you too encountered the fine hospitality and the weekend was a rewarding experience!

It is great to read, that everything went well in Barcelona and that those who attended the conference enjoyed the event. As one who wasn't there, I also want to thank Kniall for the photos and look forward to the video/s as well. :)
