Lending books to friends.

A quick question for you all. Maybe this applies mostly to LKJ since these are mostly her books involved.

I have a good friend who has always been into esoteric works and learning. I have about 7 or 8 of LKJs books and I was wondering how you feel about them being loaned out to friends. Now in my case, my friend works for about $9 an hour and has to pay child support on top of that, which gives him little if no money to spend on himself. I loaned him the wave vol 1 and 2, which he loves but I also know that he isn't in any position to be able to continue reading these if I don't give him the material. He and I both understand that nothing comes for free and that compensation is owed to the creators of products and knowledge and so on.
So my question is this: Is it OK that I continue to loan these books out to help him when there is no retern to you for the service? I in no way want to be ripping you of by loaning out books but at the same time I know that my friend gives back all that he can in his relationships with others even if that is his only means to do so and he would be helped better to do this with a continued supply of knowledgeable material.
Thanks for all the hard work and in no way would I want to undermine that.

I think you are doing good lending the books of Laura to someone who can not afford them. Don't worry, he will return what he is receiving with his readings and his new knowledge at his rhythm. In fact as I see it, you are giving to someone who is open to receive and then he will give at his turn, first to himself, by protecting himself with the knowledge and then to someone else that will be open to receive. This is how I see it, maybe I am wrong but I think you are doing a good thing.

The first lesson of Laura and the crew is their example that they give to us with a sense of brotherhood to share their knowledge to help us and humanity.

I agree with the above, spreading this knowledge is a service to humanity in whichever form it is spread. Just an idea, but he maybe facing so many financial challenges because he has not been armed with the tools to follow the symbols of reality - which are offered extensively in the wave series. So IMO , If he is asking, then you are doing the best thing you can CaptainMurphy

Also, fwiw the whole wave series is published online for free. This is for people who are in the situation that your friend is in :). If he has Internet he is able to access most of it on www.cassiopaea.org

I agree with everybody else. I think you don't have to worry, it's your friend and lending him your books is a most natural way of behaving in STO terms. He asked and you gave. It's a wonderful opportunity to help your friend and to share what you have.

He and I both understand that nothing comes for free and that compensation is owed to the creators of products and knowledge and so on.
So my question is this: Is it OK that I continue to loan these books out to help him when there is no retern to you for the service?

I don't see this situation as there's no returning from him.Does he help you? Listen to you, share his knowledge with you, giving you his time, advices? All of this and so much more are, from my understanding, ways of giving. It's not so linear, like, if I give you x, you'll have to give me back the same x. If you have a feeling that you're the one who is always giving, then you need to
question the situation carefully.
Nothing comes for free is a big lesson, but also a lesson for people who only take and don't give in return. But other, parallel lesson is, I think, STO is about giving. C's talks alot about giving. For example, they say when we're blocked, whatever is causing our blockages, we can solve it by giving. We give what we can't receive and that's what helps us understand and solve our blockages better. That's how I understand it.
I wish you good time with your friend and hope you'll learn much from each other!

Thanks for the replies. The responses given were along the lines of my thinking. My friend is the type who would give the shirt off his back for just about anyone. So he is actively helping rather than just taking. I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't hurting the work. I think he has Internet but only on his phone and I wouldn't recommend anyone spending that much time on a phone to read. So I'm gonna continue so long as he wants more. :)

Also, Captainmurphy, there is the Cassiopaean website. All the Wave Series books are available on the website, as well as, a plethora of articles, book reviews and other goodies from Laura. That is, I suppose, as long as your friend has access to the Internet. I highly recommend perusing there yourself, if you haven't already. :)

Landing a book to a friend who is eager to learn something is not hurting the work. It can actually be part of the work. Bringing somebody on a step behind you. By helping other, you are helping yourself. You two can then discuss about materials read in the books and by that you can learn something new. Some new insights may come from those reading and discussions. Then he can network here and with his knowledge help somebody else to step one step further. ITs all the part of the work as i understand.

You did good work, the network expands, more and more people who want to wake up, and if we are able, we must and we need their help, borrowing books, conversation, listening, truth seeking.
Well done
