French president not to attend Davos economic forum — Elysee Palace
French President Emmanuel Macron will not attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, BFM TV reported on Friday, citing a statement by Elysee Palace.
The trip was cancelled because of the state leader’s tight schedule, the presidential administration explained. The ongoing protests of the yellow vests movement in France and the start of the national debate on the operation of state institutes and democracy (will officially start on January 15 - TASS) were also named among possible reasons.
