Major wildfires hit Los Angeles

I don't think there is a need for complex causes like laser beams from space or nanoparticle spraying to explain the fires if the conjunction of stupidity, incompetence, and corruption offers the most plausible explanation.
To quote Obi-wan Kenobi "Los Angeles: You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy".
