Things are getting more and more ridiculous here in the UK. Here is some advice the Principal of my son's secondary school sent to parents the other day in relation to the school re-opening this week:
"We have been advised by Anglian Learning to extend our definition of Covid-19 symptoms so we are extending our definition of symptoms to include the following: fever; dry and/or persistent cough; tiredness; loss of taste or smell; aches and pains; headache; sore throat; nasal congestion; red eyes; diarrhoea or a skin rash. If your child/ren has/have any of these symptoms please request a PCR test and remain at home until your symptoms stop".
You see straight away that these symptoms cover a whole spectrum of illnesses. You find yourself a bit congested. Oh you may have Covid-19. I feel a bit tired. Oh it must be Covid-19! Ironically, this is an absolute give me for those who want to dodge lessons. We never had it so good in our day!
