Massive 'drone swarm' in and around New Jersey: UFO flap, govt tech, or mass hysteria?

Given how prevalent these "drones" are, my top hypothesis is aliens. However, I think it's worth considering a few other hypotheses. The other ones floating around are these:

-"transnational criminal mafia"
-Russians or Chinese
-deep state

I'd say there's a mix of "aliens" and deep state efforts to confuse, which has apparently been their MO for a long time.

Why is this one in the mix? Looks like a plane to me. Given the nature of the internet and eh...human beings, there's gonna be a lot of stuff to weed out.
I watched it again and it wasn't the video I thought it was. The guy that posted it originally is a local (not a UFO guy) who is convinced it's a drone not a plane due to the altitude, flight path, and he thought he could see its propellers.

But some redditor says he found a corresponding flight on flightradar and flightaware, so it looks like the local doesn't know what he's talking about and probably got caught up in the hysteria:

The whole NJ thing has me thinking of when the C's said that the government were staging mutilations/abductions to cover up the actual alien activities, I get the same sense with this. it may be some human drone activity to try to associate all high strangeness over the skies with drones.

That and some hysteria will make it easy to dismiss the whole thing eventually.

If these are coming in from and returning to the water, and they are not ET tech, which is an unknown- drones of this size and number would be launched from a ship or ships at sea. The Coast Guard should position an armed ship between the shore and water and see if they can intercept them as they enter the airspace. Satellites should be able to detect them as well and locate their point of origin. They probably have already collected a ton of data, and the drones will be followed up with cruise missiles.
Speculation of course, but this same complacency gave us Pearl Harbor and 911.

Luckily, the rest of the world is not hearing about all this.

If it's not on TV, it doesn't exist.

If it's not in the language of the country on the corresponding social network on the Internet, it doesn't exist.

At the moment it's something designed for the important inhabitants of the USA and England.

Don't worry everyone, mystery solved. The drones are being launched from an Iranian mother ship off the coast of the US 🙄

So far several IC (intel community) narratives have now been floated: Chinese drones, Russian drones (which were gifted to Russian organized crime), and now Iranian. Ridiculous!

All they have to do is to build some Hollywoodian drone, put a "Made in Russia" or "Made in China" sticker on it, and say they shot it. The media and the populace would swallow it. They can even stage a pathetic moment like when they shot a weather balloon with a missile. UFOs are less strange than the idiocy of these people.

They are very sophisticated, somehow they can tell when they are being watched and they go dark as soon as they sense the… pic.twitter.com/4ozFwZIPS9

This begs the question I've had for a long time: Why do interstellar/interdimensional crafts need running lights which traditionally serve the purpose of illuminating a travel path, not space; or alerting other crafts to avoid collisions, which would be useless considering the speeds UFOs travel.
It seems like the only purpose of exterior lights is to make their presence known to earthlings...which seems like something that would be done only by the Deep State cabal for purposes of confusion and/or fear mongering. If genuine aliens wanted to declare their presence, why do so many UFOs take evasive actions once seen. If they wanted to confuse us or terrorize us, they'd have a number of better strategies (e.g. land on the White House lawn, attack us with exotic weapons).
So my general bias is that if they have running lights, they're earth-based pseudo-alien crafts.

The problem of these phenomena and objects flying in the sky, it is unclear what origin, is more complicated. If you read the history of UFO sightings, it turns out that they always arrange a "little performance". They want to be noticed. And they often look ridiculous. When the first airships appeared, unidentified airships began to fly. Then it's the same story with airplanes. etc. I always thought of Lem's book Solaris, where a kind of intelligent ocean materialized the thoughts and desires of others. It seems to me that there is something similar here
