Media treat dropping of biggest bomb since Hiroshima as non-event: Un-post-able?

I too have had the same problem on FB, gives me the same error message, URL not found. It very intermittent and only on subjects that FB doesn't like, I presume!

I am able to post the article on FB from the original page. No problem. But not from Sott.net

Weird, yet again, I had no problems with posting "the Trump babies" article on facebook from Sott.

Hmm. I've had the same problem for the last 24 hours. Some articles won't post and come up with that same error message. I restarted my browser which worked for a while, then it began again. And it is intermittent. Definitely weird. I tried to rescrape the URL using the Facebook object debugger and it just hangs on those articles.

I've never heard of the debugger but it may come handy in the future so thanks for posting the link Flashgordonv.

What I do on FB when the SOTT article does not post is:

1. Paste the link into FB and put a space at the last letter so it "breaks" it. Click the X on the image and article if it shows up. Post the text.

2. Click edit on the broken link you posted.

3. Copy the title of the SOTT article and paste it into your edit.

4. Quickly backspace the space in the text you made in step one, so the link becomes unbroken. And then quickly click save.

It seems that it fails when it loads the SOTT article. So if you do it quickly and it never loads from SOTT, you still are able to post a clickable link to the article. But you lose the embedded picture.

Hi 3D Student, I can paste the link manually into facebook and for a split-second the preview comes up all normal when i click post, but it just becomes a horrible clickable link, like you said, almost immediately.

Here's another un-post-able : https://www.sott.net/article/348663-Primarily-defensive-Assessing-Russias-military-strength
Which is interesting; can't counter the 'Murika is Great narrative! Not Allowed :P

Also, I still can't share the Trump babies article - cannot even use the facebook like button it "un-clicks" itself as if no-one has liked it, which is my clue as to whether I can share an article I have discovered. If I can click Facebook Like on the SoTT article, I can share it, otherwise not.

OK, wow, this should have been obvious. Credit to 3D Student via Facebook for bravely sharing, I think it'll have to be headlines with links, because it's a whole RAFT of topics that have been 'disallowed' :

Now this is a good idea.

The way I do it is:

1. Put the link on your FB and if FB does not want to publish it, I capture the image of the post and copy it. (I'm using Fireshot)
2, Delete that post
3. I create a new post and I paste the image that I copied a few seconds ago.
4. Copy the link of the article and press immediately published. And so far, it works.
