This is huge news! The fact that it 'injured hundreds of people' puts it on a totally different level. Suddenly the threat is real and to ignore is no longer an option. The 'gods are angry', so what are people going to do now? What will the media? Not expecting much from the governments though.

Not to mention that this happened on the day that a sizeable asteroid is zooming past as close to Earth as it has ever been observed, closer than satellites!

I think that thing is not a 'big' raindrop even. I.e. "we ain't seen nothin' yet".
We have cellular operator company among our clients, and today is hot day for us at work, because they have Data center and Contact center in Chelyabinsk. Hardware and communications still down now, they urge us to 'repare' asap, obviously they have no idea what is going on. It is the lesson for them and us all though...
Claim that they have 'fired rocket and break this thing up at 20 km altitude' sounds to me ridiculous to the extreme. It was a desperate attempt to 'coverup' at best.

Oh, and I remember Clif said that data showed that 2012 DA14 has something 'trinity' to it, perhaps 2 companions or similar. Or it will break up because of gravitational influence of Earth. Let's see...
