MMR Vaccine

In your country, are there legal exemptions from getting vaccines? In most US states, religion can be invoked to avoid vaccines.

Martina unfortunately, from my experience you can't avoid vaccination or fines in Croatia unless your child is suspected of possible neurorisk due vaccine ingredients. However, to prove this you must submit you child to testing which protocol isn't clearly established. From what I know, neurorisk is diagnosed usually when children who already have received some kind of vaccine exhibit signs of neurological damage or are born with this condition. However, you can try to persuede judge in your case that you are suspecting that any of the ingredients of vaccine in question may be harmful to your kid and that based on growing evidence of vaccine damaged children around the world. And if you have a reasonable judge on the other side you can get away with official warning at best or be fined with 2000 kn at worst. Good thing is that they can only fine you but can't forcefully implement vaccination even if you're still declining vaccination. However, my nephew was recently kicked out of public kindergarten due to the fact that she wasn't vaccinated according to calendar. There are couple of groups in Croatia, you can join via Facebook for example, and share your experiences as well as your ideas. The number of parents who doesn't wont to vaccinate their kids are on the rise and some group initiative and advices can be helpfull.

I was lucky for now because the doctor I went said that we can postpone everything until school, but I had the expression she thinks that I'll change my mind and agree for vaccination by then. So, I have to start saving money, or planing to imigrate. Thank you for links and respondings, it gave me courage.
