A Disturbance in the Force
I admit that I was wholly unaware that such videos were made - much less that enough of them are made and sold that it is now before the U.S. Legislature, in order to make it illegal!

The earth benefits from a periodic cleansing.

The videos mostly depict women -- with their faces unseen -- stomping helpless animals such as rabbits to death with spiked-heel shoes or with their bare feet. The videos apparently satisfy a sexual fetish for those who produce and watch them, said animal rights activists who supported the new bill.

The perversion and depravity involved in such a video is mind-boggling to anyone with an ounce of empathy for living creatures. It makes me sick to my stomach to know that there are people who produce and enjoy such cruelty. Positively sickening...to say the least.

Couldn't agree more. Don't know but perhaps I'm just shell "shocked" so to speak. Just yesterday I read this and day before I read about an entangled whale although latest reports indicate that it has been freed.

I wont even see. I am angered only by reading that people have to ban such videos from existance!
Its hard to fathom/digest some sides of our existance...

Some days you just want to say "Bring on the comets!"

just hearing about this makes me very sad :( I have many pets and it really hurts to see something like that.

i think cruelty on defenseless animals is utterly inexcusable as they can't even speak out or complain to law-enforcement like humans can. i've seen (and unfortunately known) ordinary people who think human cruelty is not OK, but they turn a blind eye to animal cruelty - as if just being a different species somehow makes it OK suffer more. despicable.

bring on the comets indeed!

I often have similar sentiments when reading about incomprehensible cruelty. The "human race" might be more advanced technologically than it was hundreds of years ago, but people are kidding themselves if they think we, as a whole, have advanced spiritually in any way, shape or form.

What's worse is that it's taken animal rights activists almost 10 YEARS to get anti-CV legislation on the table

Burr is a HUGE honking jerk ...but he just justified his existence as far as I'm concerned.

I used to wonder if people that hurt other beings like children, animals, even insects were another species cause I could never fathom doing something that would hurt another physically. Felt like I musta been from another planet or something. Then I came to this forum and the work of Laura and Ark and realized they could possibly be another species.

I was unaware that this sort of thing was made as well. I'm speechless.
