Mother of all gushers - BP Oil Disaster in Gulf of Mexico

I don't know if there is a connection/coincidence/irony, but twenty years ago there was a war called the "gulf war" and it was about oil? :o

I guess payback is Hell.

Payback is working wonders then and Hell is Hell. Play in oil, get oily.

[Wave 6, 150-51] "Warriors take strategic inventories," he said. "They list everything they do. Then they decide which of those things can be changed in order to allow themselves a respite, in terms of expanding their energy." [...] Don Juan said then that in the strategic inventories of warriors, self-importance figures as the activity that consumes the greatest amount of energy, hence their effort to eradicate it.
"One of the first concernes of warriors is to free that energy in order to face the unknown with it," don Juan went on. "The action of rechanneling that energy is impeccability."
[1.] Holding your own in facing petty tyrants.
2. Facing the unknown with courage.
3. Standing in the presence of the unknowable.
...[We] know that nothing can temper the spirit of a warrior as much as the challenge of dealing with impossible people [...].

[W6, p162] As Don Juan and Gurdfieff tell us, there are untold dangers in the path of knowledge for those without sober understanding. "[In] the life of warriors it was extremely natural to be sad for no overt reason. ...Whenever the boundaries of the known are broken, a mere glimpse of the eternity outside is enough to disrupt the coziness of our controlled awareness. The resulting melancholy is sometimes so intense that it can bring about death... The best way to get rid of melancholy is...
...to make fun of it."

(While the Gulf situation IS serious, it is SO important NOT to take ourselves to seriously)
I think that's the gist of it...

Vectis, I feel so much better now, I thank you so much. I love Castaneda's books, I enjoyed reading all of them. I wish there was as much magic in real life as in the life Don Juan was living. The stories were fictional, but they seemd so beautifully real. I remember Don Juan saying to Castaneda that when he meets a petty tyrant he should consider himself lucky, because he does not have to go out there to look for one. I remembered those words when I met my psychopathic boss a few years ago. For some reason I was a magnet for psychopaths. And I really tried hard to not let him paralise me like a tarantula paralises its victim, and everytime he accomplished doing it to me anyway. I even studied his weak spots. For some reason this guy hated jews and would openly say to people that it was a pity that Hitler did not have enough time to finish his job because if he did every jew would have been terminated. This guy also hated blacks and gays, but loved himself to death. He was like the best thing that ever happened to him.. FUnny, I am just laughing now just thinking about it. These games that people play are just incredibly stupid. And I was playing the game as well, instead of leaving the job I stayed for 2 years of torture. It was my fault, no one put a gun to my head. What a waste of energy trying to control something when it was impossible to do so right from the beginning. And today,we all, including the psychos, find outselves in the most devastating time of human history. you are right, I could have used the energy more effectively instead of wasting it. Hmmm the best way to get rid of melanchony is to make fun of it and we should not take ourselves too seriously. I love that advice.

You know what the strange thing is? That if I knew that humanity would find itself in this situation right now, at this moment, with the possibility for us all becoming extinct in 3D, I would have approached psychopaths differently. I would have laughed into their face instead of letting them to control me. Oh boy, I sure do feel more alive now that this reality is staring straight into my face. Now I know what you meant.

And I think you have a good chance of making it to 4D. If I make it then we will set up a meeting somewhere and will chat about how silly we were by taking life in 3D so seriously. ;)
FACEBOOK HAS DELETED BOYCOTT BP, LEAVING ALMOST 800,000 FANS HANGING

As recently as 30 minutes ago, Facebook has removed the main "Boycott BP" from it's page. With it, it leave almost 800,000 fans hanging.

This group was created with the intent of sending a clear and strong message to BP and to Washington that what has happened in the Gulf has to stop everywhere.

People from all over the world shared video clips, pictures, and frustration over what has been seen incredibly slow process to an ever growing economic and environmental disaster.

Boycott BP and it's creator, Lee Perkins, have been focused in several interviews recently, one of which was done with Diane Sawyer. To say he has made a large impact in a short amount of time is an understatement.

The question is: Why did Facebook suddenly take down the site? Some will call it a media black out of what is really happening down here in the Gulf. Some might say he was doing more harm than good given the fact that the Boycotting of BP was actually beginning to take hold if you judge by some of the photos and videos being posted of station owners either changing to a new brand, or closing altogether.

Whichever way you look at it, the voices of the people were being heard in a most unique and powerful way. We felt we were making a difference.

If we were not, then why the sudden removal of the page?

UPDATE: Lee Perkins has put a new Facebook Page here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Boycott-bpARCO/138332356184294?ref=mf#!/pages/Boycott-bpARCO/138332356184294?v=wall&ref=mf

His Quote:

"
Boycott bp/ARCO I can't believe they shut us down with no explanation. I could not even say goodbye to my friends. We must have been doing something right. Calling the media now. bayoulee.com is up and running. ty Bayou Lee"
If part of the reason facebook was originally created and funded was to supply companies with advertising data, then people coming together and deciding to boycott BP is probably going to upset some shareholders. It would be interesting to know who those shareholders currently are.
Facebook is not in a rush to go public and is being careful about financial guidelines that could compel it to go public, says David Kirkpatrick, longtime Fortune writer and author of the just-released, "The Facebook Effect."

Keeping the number of shareholders to under 500 is one key regulation, and David says in this video interview that Facebook has only 200 "technical" shareholders.

I'm always willing to help with whatever I can, but you have to admit this forum is just chock full of people more talented than I. :)

I don't think of it that way. To me, it's more like people have different talents, some are more easily seen than others, but are just waiting to be tapped. No need to undervalue yourself, you're more valuable than you think.

I've been trying to think of a way I could work EE (for others) into my plans ...but Dawn's right, we're talking the buckle of the Bible Belt here. Horoscopes printed in local papers are often protested as being "witchcraft"

This made me smile. :)

Most of the local residents just aren't ready. However, some of the imported workers, especially the environmentalists, may be receptive?

This may just be a matter of how it's presented. Leave out the woo woo stuff and make the connections in language they can understand. It can just be touted as a stress relieving exercise.

Unfortunately, I'm not a good writer. I've got an American High School education...which equates to about a 4-6th grade education in Europe and Asia.

I don't think one needs a formal education to write. Just read any magazine or newspaper. These are mostly written by people with degrees. Need I say more? :D I have to say, your posts are consistently some of the most entertaining I have read! Don't discount yourself.

I found his yesterday and i don't think it has been posted or seen here. The information and source is questionable. The references of why, how, and where its going are interesting but maybe it just adds more to the cloud's of confusion that "they" want the general public to believe in there lies of the true nature of what this event and what it represents.

It is interesting to pay attention to what is going on "behind the scenes" while the Gulf disaster takes the forefront of the news... there seems to be a balance or shift of power occurring as we speak... The Bilderberg group and G20 are having their meetings; there is a massive movement (mainly of naval power) in the Levant region; super powers are shifting allegiance (such as Saudi Arabia siding with Israel for military tactics); lots of interesting little news articles talking about international banking controls, food shortages, internet "control".... (SOTT is on top of a lot of this, and I'm glad they sided with Connect the Dots)... This is an exciting time to be alive, and to be aware... I'm so thankful for this forum, and finding it when I did...

Yes, and there is also the new trade agreement between China and Taiwan (this is big), there is Obama improving relations of the U.S. with China and Russia (the Chinese have endorsed his economic policies by increasing purchases of U.S. debt and by sort of allowing the Yuan to revalue) while some faction (which one?) in the U.S. seems to have derailed the relations with Russia with this weird spy ring arrest. These spies were totally routine, all countries have these types who are looking for possible policy shifts not weapons secrets or anything like that.

It seems like all the governments (except Israel) are trying to move closer together before the big disasters hit when they will all have to cooperate on martial law, etc. Israel, though, is ready to start World War III and implement their Final Solution to the Palestine "problem."

Well of course my big human ego would just love to believe that, but the reality is that stuck in this soul suit I feel about as valuable as a lightning bug in a Dixie Cup. Now outside it, that's a different story entirely ...I can be quite useful, but yawl are going to get the benefits of being tapped into that frequency regardless of what/where little 'ol me happens to be.

A couple of years ago a Pakistani guy who likes to pretend he's Lakota (Robert Roach) threatened to kill me....at which point I asked him "What makes you think I'll be less trouble to you after I'm dead?" ;D

This made me smile. :)

I'm gonna take a guess that you've never been to Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, etc? ;D

Exactly...and I'm still trying to figure out how to translate EE Breathing into NASCAR, Professional Wrestling, beer and Baptist speak. ;)

Well, ya got a point there :rotfl:

Thank you truth seeker ..... maybe that's my niche, comic relief ;)

:rotfl:

That’s a training session I want to hear!

For starters you could tell them that pipe breathing is the noise of a well-tuned engine throttling at the start...

warrior breath builds from “HA!” to “HALLELUJAH!”...

round breathing is just like a NASCAR race, it goes round and round...

and lying down for the meditation is like being pinned to the mat by Jesus...

not sure how to work in the beer reference, though.

Maybe I could rent a team of Clydesdales....

Here comes the king, here comes the king, here comes the big Number One!
Éiriú Eolas, the king of breath is truly second to none.
Just say EE Breathing,
You've said it all.
Here comes the King of Breath... so lift your glottal, let's hear the call....da da da da

Éiriú Eolas's the one that's leading the rest,
And vagus flexing makes it breath at its best.
One try'll tell you,
So loud and clear.
EE Breathing's almost as good as beer

:P
