Isn't about overt display of animal abuse, it is how humans with a lot of problems are unable to deal - raise, lead, take care of - horses. The horses in this film are having a lot of human problems. Buck demonstrates and explains this to the proud horse owners.

An excellent independent documentary about external consideration.

Why did i cry while watching this film, when it wasn't about some fake drama, when there was no explicitly detailed and artificially emphasized animal or human torture on display?

I cried because this film is a mirror.

An examination of the life of acclaimed 'horse whisperer' Buck Brannaman, who recovered from years of child abuse to become a well-known expert in the interactions between horses and people.

I don't like gory movies. I don't even like seeing the Aliens movies anymore. There are far scarier things than alien monsters in real everyday life, anyway.

One movie I do like is The Illusionist with Edward Norton. I've seen that one several times, and I can't wait to see it again!

Because Edward Norton is just one of the best of the best, I like that movie too, I was able to see it the last Sunday but my family didn't want to see it so... Also there's other movie about magicians "The Prestige" I think.

i think Edward Norton is one of the best actors out there nowadays.
he does a lot of research when taking on a character and he uses nuance in his facial expressions. :P

I thoroughly enjoyed both The Prestige and The Illusionist, and have a hard time deciding which I like the better. They fall in my category of 'would watch again'.

A film that falls in the category of 'not sure whether I can watch again' for me is The Shawshank Redemption. I find false imprisonment really harrowing to watch, not to mention the indignities to which Tim Robbins' character is subjected. But what touches me most deeply and awakens sleeping pain for me in this film is the friendship between Robbins' character and Morgan Freeman's character. That this friendship endures for years, and when at the end in the voice-over Freeman describes Robbins as 'my friend' – well, it gets me every time and I end up weeping buckets. I've seen it two or three times, the last time was about two years ago. I often think I'll watch it again, but because of my emotional reaction I usually decide not to, and this reaction is because I've never had a friendship with another man that has lasted in the way that these two characters' friendship lasts in the film.

Nothing is more stupid that change the title of a movie in a totally different way that the original... And it is te the case in France... I noticed that for a while...

They change the titles of movies and series to hang on the public, regrettably in certain cases it is horrible. "The Avengers" ("Les Vengeurs" in French) becomes: "Derby hat and Boots to cook". Moronic but it certainly worked for French people!

"Die Hard" 1,2,3, ("Crève durement" 1,2,3 in French) becomes: Crystal trap, 58 minutes to live, One day in hell.

It looks also that in France, we do not like a title which makes reference to a detail of the movie, we prefer a global title to not have any specific information about the story. And sometimes, it is complicated to translate an idiomatic for example, which does not have any sens for others languages.

We also have title modified... in English! For example: "The Man who wasn't there" becomes in France and in English: "The Barber"... "Analyse this" becomes in France and in English: "Mafia Blues". About this last one, the comment of the distributor: "To have Robert De Niro in actor and the word mafia in the title of the movie, that attract more that a movie about a psychologist"!!

It also looks that title modified in French goes to the large public movie, if movies are for teenagers, they keep the English title or they change it, to add words as Sex, Trip, which are considered like more attractive... We can see the place these words take here in France (and I guess in others countries too), they are everywhere and this is not a good thing... Culture is a part of disinformation and is use to hide until make disappear one thing essential in the life: the Sacred.

this isn't very different from, say, having every picture of the Mona Lisa in French books referred to as "apple pie lady".

Enter the Void is a movie I will never watch again. I got suckered in due to the subject matter: a man dies, soul exits the body and observes the resulting events. Technically it is very well made, but the athmosphere of the movie is very distressing and disturbing. I was left with an unclean and distressed feeling for days afterwards.

I saw an interview where the director (Gaspar Noe) stated that even though he made a movie about afterlife, his views on the subject are "very materialistic".

Considering the director, I have seen his earlier movie Irreversible as well, years ago. That is another very disturbing film, very violent and pathological. Certainly a trend here, and mr. Noe's movies are ones to avoid from now on.

On the other hand Groundhog Day is a movie I can watch repeatedly, a great comedy with a "deeper" meaning to boot :).
A perfect film to watch during the Christmas season!

and i Loveee 'The Lord of the Rings' and everything Star wars.
