Moving

P.s, am I using the quote function wrong? I notice with other people when they quote it links back to the person's name or original comment. I'm going to try to do it that way so if you are quoted on this comment please ignore as I'm trying to figure out the quote function.

Which specific place is that?

Okay I figured it out.

Hi FRV,

Have you checked the residency requirements in Costa Rica? They are among the most difficult in Latin America, except for retirees:
  • Temporary residence permit for retirees, you must have a pension income of at least $1,000 per month.
  • Temporary residence permit for rentiers, you must prove you have a stable income of a least $2,500 per month from an outside source (investment, property etc) and will continue to have it for at least two years.
  • Temporary residence permit for investors, you must invest at least $200,000 in Costa Rica in real estate, shares, or projects which are of national interest.

It might be hard but it's not impossible as I have a friend who just got her permanent residence in Costa Rica.
Like I mentioned in my most recent comment, I reflected after I read all your replies and realized I want to travel there again, not move at this time. I appreciate this info though :)
