Both are perfect with a cigarette.

When I'm in need, I often turn to a piece called Shamanic Morning which has a duration of about 20 Min.

You can listen to it and/or download (46 MB) it here: _http://www.mediafire.com/download/gxj20ngwd7guiia/Shamanic+Morning.mp3

It's not a musical piece per se but offers a mix of drums, bells, birdsong, flutes and human humming. I use it as a background sound scape.

I find it very relaxing and equally [re]invigorating to listen to in repeat mode for prolonged periods of time.

It helps me to focus and concentrate on what I'm doing as it blocks and filters out all distractions from my direct environment without in itself requiring much attention.

It just flows... ;)

Does anyone know about a relatively new album from Nobuo Uematsu :)? I'll search for it and tell you in a minute.

I have a stress-generating job and I have built a collection of albums over the years that helps keep that down without interfering with my work. There used to be more classical music and such in it, but in about 2005 I chanced to hear and then meet Julia McKay (_http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1P2-2732918.html).

Her album Where the Light Shows Through touched something in me, but when I went looking for more of her work I found that she had not continued to write and publish new music. I was, however, able to find similar music from other composers and I began to build a collection that I can only describe as "I know it when I hear it."

The genre of this music usually appears as "New Age," but there is nothing particularly "new agey" about the sound of the music I choose. Artists include David Lanz, Enya, Joe Yamada, Secret Garden, 7and5, and more. There is no one theme or sound to it, other than that I know it when I hear it.

For relaxation to music, Secret Garden, Enya and Enigma does it for me a lot of the time. I'm always hunting for the 'undiscovered country', though.

If anyone uses Itunes radio, there is one Jazz station I like. The only disadvantage is that Itunes radio seems to have more commercial breaks these days. The station is: JAZZRADIO.com - Mellow Jazz. It sounds like light restaurant music.

Reiki Japan by Nobuo

Hi, the new album I was referring to is "Reiki Japan" (2012) by master music composer "Nobuo Uematsu" & Reiki expert "Toshitaka Mochizuki".

Some of you may know Nobuo. Now that I think of it, before this album he already had some great music.
If interested in a "larger samples" send me a PM.

In their site you can hear samples and/or buy it:

PD. If anyone practice Reiki, please tell us how good this "Reiki" music really is.
